KHAIRPUR: A newly-married girl was shot dead on Sunday, allegedly for marrying of her own will. According to reports, Aasia Jatoi, from Larkana, married Fayaaz Jatoi, from Khairpur, in a court a month ago. Her family allegedly forced Fayaaz’s relatives to hand her over and after they did so, Aasia was killed. On receiving information, Tando Musti police reached the spot and took the body into custody. After an autopsy, the body was handed back to the family. Meanwhile, the parents of the deceased alleged that she was killed by her husband’s family. The police had not registered a case till the filing of this report.
