Terrorist tip-off: Rs5m for information
Malik announced a reward of Rs5 million for anyone providing a tip-off on terrorists and miscreants in Karachi.
ISLAMABAD:
Interior minister Rehman Malik announced on Sunday a reward of five million rupees for anyone providing a specific tip-off or video evidence on terrorists and miscreants in Karachi. Malik assured that the ongoing police and Rangers operations would continue. “Police operations in Korangi Industrial area have restored the confidence of traders,” said Malik in a statement released by his office. The minister assured that the identity of any informers would be kept secret. Police operations will be extended to the other areas of Karachi and would be based on information provided by the intelligence agencies. He said that the law enforcement agencies have been put on high alert in Karachi as there were intelligence reports that terrorists could strike in the guise of intelligence and law enforcement personnel.
