PHILLIP ISLAND: World MotoGP champion-elect Casey Stoner conceded that he was struggling to come to terms with his achievement of winning the world title at his home grand prix. Stoner clinched the 2011 title on his Honda when he cruised to victory over Italians Marco Simoncelli and Andrea Dovizioso. It was Stoner’s fifth consecutive win in Australia. “Few people have the opportunity to have all these things align – your home grand prix, your birthday, this many straight wins and a world championship,” said Stoner. “It’s hard to take hold of it all.”
