PESHAWAR: PPP’s provincial president Senator Sardar Ali Khan condemned the incident of firing on a peaceful procession in Yakaghund, Mohmand Agency.

In a statement, the legislator asserted that the party’s sympathies are with the tribesmen of Mohmand Agency. He also demanded fair and impartial inquiry into the incident to award severe punishment to those responsible.

He added that tribesmen have taken out peaceful processions due to the promulgation of reforms introduced by the PPP government. However, some elements were still against granting political rights to tribesmen, intending to foil unity in their ranks.
