Crowd beats up man for child raping
Hundreds of residents in Muhammad Abad flogged a man who was caught raping a minor girl in the limits of Batala Colony police station on Saturday.
According to police officials, Muhammadabad resident Naseer Ahmad said that his daughter Nina, 4, was playing outside the house when accused Asghar Ali abducted her and took her to his house on the pretext of giving her some toys. Neighbours heard the child’s screams and found Asghar Ali forcing himself on her. Area locals broke the door of the house and captured Ali.
The man was flogged with sticks and beaten with rocks and bricks. The crowd informed the police who rushed to the spot and arrested the accused after pacifying the crowd. The mob demanded that the man be publicly hanged.”They wanted him dead. Everyone wanted to throw stones at him and kill him,” said an eyewitness.
Police officials have registered a case against the accused under section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and sent the girl for medical examination.

When i saw the film 'Ganga Jal', my first thought was that thats what we need. @Paki: We only link things to Islam because we are supposed to be a Muslim nation and yet such acts happen every day, nearly every hour. How can we claim to be good muslims when we cannot uphold the Islamic principles of Justice, and of protecting the vulnerable from perverts? If we were truly an Islamic nation, (and not a mullah-madness-centre) none of this sick stuff should be happening.

No matter how civilized the world may get, no matter the system, no matter the trust in and action of law enforcement... I don't think the world will ever be able to find it in themselves to fully condemn the actions of that crowd, myself included, if someone were to be caught in the act. It's just too inhuman to look at through human eyes.
