FAISALABAD: Workers at a plastic factory in Faisalabad handed over two suspected robbers to police after beating them up, Express 24/7 reported on Saturday.

Sources said that the suspects, identified as Imran and Kashif, entered a plastic factory in the city and fired at its owner, who managed to dodge the bullet.

The owner said his factory workers immediately caught the robbers and started beating them up.

The workers later handed over the men to police on assurance of an inquiry being carried out against them.

The robbers belong to Gojra and Tendiyanwala.

As reported earlier, three alleged robbers were tortured to death by a mob of angry villagers in Faisalabad in the month of August.

The robbers, after committing robbery in a house, were confronted by armed villagers. The bandits threatened the villagers and demanded safe passage. However, they were swiftly overpowered by the villagers who reportedly snatched their guns.

The mob gave the bandits a severe thrashing during which the bandits cried for help and apologised but none paid any heed. Several villagers also fired at the dacoits inflicting bullet injuries and profuse bleeding.

Well done and my congratulations to the workers who apprehended the criminals. They deserved the beating and they were rightly turned over to the authorities. It will make them think twice before breaking the law again. I read about the same thing in the US where frustrated shop owners take the law into their own hands to protect themselves.

Mob rule is the outcome of our Judicial system. When it becomes near to obvious that we will not get justice through proper channel, mob rule works.
