KOT GHULAM MOHAMMAD:
We are providing the residents with two drums of water every day till the canal can be made functional again, said Taluka administrator Mir Irfan Talpur. “There is an extreme water shortage since the Jamrao Canal has been forced to shut down.” He added that the water should be boiled before it is consumed. “The filter plant provided by the Sindh government will be installed soon and the resident will have clean water within 15 days,” he said. The administrator added that the United Nations had provided them with a filter plant that would filter over 1,000 litres of water.
