Boxing: Hopkins enjoying ‘underdog’ tag

LOS ANGELES: Bernard Hopkins says being the underdog has its advantages as he seeks to extend his reign as the oldest world champion in boxing history today. Hopkins will face fellow American Chad Dawson (30-1 with 17 knock-outs) for Hopkins’ World Boxing Council light-heavyweight title at the Staples Center arena. “I am the underdog because of my age,” said the 46-year-old boxer who has a 52-5 record with 32 knockouts. “I never operate well when I am the favourite in a fight.”
