Even after release of so many Palestinian inmates, there will be thousands more still languishing in Israeli jails.
JUBAIL, SAUDI ARABIA: This is with reference to your report of October 13 on the impending release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit by Hamas, in exchange for the release of over a thousand Palestinian prisoners by Israel. The fact of the matter is that even after the release of so many Palestinian inmates, there will be thousands more Palestinians languishing in Israeli jails.
If the Americans are ready to talk to the Taliban and to the Haqqanis, only to have an honourable exit from Afghanistan, then why can they not make the Israelis sit with the Palestinians and find a solution to the long-simmering dispute of Palestinian statehood and the issue of its boundaries?
