Bilawal Bhutto will be next prime minister: Awan

ISLAMABAD:

Federal Law Minister Babar Awan claims Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be nominated as prime minister in the next general elections. He said this while addressing the Gujranwala Bar Association on Monday.

The law minister said that talks of mid term elections are against the constitution. He added that those who gave tickets to fake degree holders are now the ones talking of the mid-term elections.

Awan stated that his party is abstaining from politics of the 90’s and that it will respect the charter of democracy during bi-elections. However, this statement stands in contradiction to the PPP's decision to field independents as party candidates in the Punjab by-elections against the PML-N. This is in violation of the Charter of Democracy (CoD) that was signed between former prime ministers Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif in May 2006 in London.

Babar Awan contended that Nawaz Sharif’s presence in the parliament would promote a stronger democracy.

Everyone appreciated the pleasent change during the tenure of Mustafa Kamal. At this moment when the natinal politics is badly hit by fake degrees scandal, it is very refreshing to see that there does exist a main stream political party in Pakistan which in contrast to PPP and PML does not have one single member in national or any provincial assembly with a fake degree. It is very heartening and speaks volumes of the strict and high standards of MQM when it comes to nommination of members for the legislative assemblies. Well done MQM.

We simply can’t, as Iran is the second largest Oil producer in the world!!!! So its a really dumb idea to even think that we can be as defiant as Iran. Secondly, Pakistan is an private empire of both the Bhuttos' & Sharifs'. How you may ask? The simple reason, because of the following reason: 1. Biased Media 2. Competent Judiciary 3. But practically it’s an Oligarchy. @Supporters of Imran and Puritans: If Imran is going to be the next PM as the oligarch apparently intends then all Pakistanis must have neck guards made of steel. The Taliban is no terror group; it's the state of mind. The people with such a mindset will surely support Imran Khan. It is my opinion. As for Balawal's PM ship, any party bagging enough votes to form a government in center, can nominate any person for PM ship. If it nominates Bilawal, Hamza, Munas, or Gangu Teli, so be it.

Don't leave politics for them like Pakistan is their property. Don't limit your to critisicm online only. To make your voice heartd and to bring a change join a party where you know you will be given oppurtunities to come forward. MQM is one such party and I believe PTI also has the potential but they still have a very long way to go. MQM has been bringing forward and sending young educated people to assemblies for a long time now. Not a single member from MQM was involved in the fake degrees scandal which shows how strict their partu disciplin is.

Where under the garb of democracy we are actually supporting dynasties and blood-lines, where the voice of reason is actually become weaker by the day stifled by the ever stronger hands of guile and deceit. What the political parties in Pakistan are failing to realise is that the media has started to do what they had so vehemently tried to quell... education. The electronic media is reaching out to ppl who never before has access to schools. Who cannot read because their masters intended to subjugate them.... but who can listen and understand... who feel the real pain there is in being a citizen of Pakistan these days... the Pakistani media is doing immense service to the nation by informing them... fine there are elements within it that are exploitative.... but too bad for those whom they exploit, for they should have educated the masses to discern between what is good and what is bad.... they have only be preaching that bad is bearable... The internet too has turned out to be the bane of the neo-colonial power mongers and more so the evil dim witted pirates that lead Pakistan. We the educated people in Pakistan don't take active part in politics so there is open field for corrupt people who think Pakistan is their property. From Karach atleast MQM sends a number of educated, middle class people to assemblies in every elections. Time has come to get rid of these feudals. If someone in the media (hai lekin kyu aakhir?) accuses that party of giving tickets to people with fake degrees, they'll be able to say "Degree? You want DEGREE? We have an Oxford grad!." As of today the graph of PPP is on its lowest ebb. Even people living in Lyari will not cast vote in favour of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. What to talk about Bilawal will become Prime Minister of Pakistan. Once the sitting government will complete its tenure, PPP will be divided into different groups and if at all PPP will come into power once again, it will come as minority party.
