Human Rights Violation: 50-year-old’s head shaved

Influential men tortured and forced a resident of the Brohi locality to shave his head, beard and moustache.

RATODERO: Some influential men tortured and forced a resident of the Brohi locality, 50-year-old Hamzo Jalbani, to shave his head, beard and moustache at their autaq three days ago. Jalbani, a peon at the public works department, was severely abused and tied with rope. Witnesses watched as he was dragged across Bandar road and other roads in the Shaikh locality of Larkana. Jalbani filed a complaint with the police that led to the arrest of Gul Baig Jatoi and Aslam Jatoi. The accused men are now exerting pressure to get the case discharged as well as to settle the matter outside court.
