
Hasan stroked 17 boundaries in his knock and was well supported by Javed Mansoor who was unbeaten on 66. Fast-bowler Mohammad Khalil was the pick of the bowlers for ZTBL, claiming four for 53.
Aziz, Sadaf in fine form
Meanwhile, SBP reached 249 for seven against Sialkot, with the help of an unbeaten 72 by Rameez Aziz and an equally valuable 70 by Gulraiz Sadaf.
Aziz’s innings was laced with seven boundaries and two maximums, while Sadaf’s knock included 10 hits to the fence. For the hosts, fast-bowlers Mohammad Abbas and Prince Abbas picked up three wickets each.
Iqbal shines for PIA
Elsewhere, Fahad Iqbal was unbeaten on 118 for PIA, helping his team reach a respectable 259 for four against Rawalpindi at close.
Iqbal’s innings was laced with 17 boundaries as he got plenty of help from Shoaib Khan, unbeaten on 70, as the pair will look to dominate the Rawalpindi bowlers today.
HBL restrict Abbottabad
A disciplined bowling performance from HBL saw Abbottabad being restricted to 252 for eight despite an unbeaten century by Rameez Ahmed. Fast-bowler Sarmad Anwar led the bowling effort, picking up four for 51, while Kamran Hussain provided crucial support with three for 38.
Bowlers dominate in Islamabad
In an action-packed day, NBP were reeling at 25 for three after they had bowled out the home side for a paltry 198.
Fast-bowler Wasim Khan led the visitors’ assault picking up three wickets for NBP and was given good support by Raza Hasan (two for 13), as Islamabad batsmen struggled against some fine bowling. Zeeshan Mustafa’s 35 was the highlight for the hosts.
Meanwhile, Wapda were reduced to 33 for three against Faisalabad, after having bowled them out for 217. Naved Latif top-scored for Faisalabad with 39, while Kashif Raza picked up three for 50 for Wapda.
