Zamzama target killers involved in 26 murders: Police

Arrested men identified as Danial and Faisal, belong to political party.

KARACHI:
Police arrested two target killers from the Zamzama area of the provincial capital on Wednesday.

Express 24/7 correspondent Ahmed Jung said the two men had been arrested after police conducted a raid on a building in the upper-class commercial area located in Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

SSP Clifton Tariq Dharejo said the two men, who were identified as Danial and Faisal, were involved in the killings of at least 26 people and belonged to a political party. Dharejo refused to name the party.


Two SMG rifles and a TT pistol were also recovered from the arrested men.

Since August 23, law enforcement agencies have been raiding different political and religious party offices and centres in Karachi. So far, they have covered the MQM, Awami National Party, Sunni Tehreek, People’s Amn Committee and the home of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz’s chief.

Earlier, the Rangers had confirmed the detention of 30 people after raids on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) offices.
