FAISALABAD:
A one-and-half year old boy died after being allegedly administered the ‘wrong injection’ at a private hospital in the limits of the Jhang Bazaar police station. Arham was taken to a private hospital in Saifabad by his mother – wife of Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Samanabad. After being injected, the child collapsed into unconsciousness. The doctor administered another injection to Arham, but his condition did not improve, upon which his mother was advised to take him to the Allied Hospital for emergency treatment. However, Arham was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Allied Hospital. The victim’s family recorded strong protest against the death of the minor, alleging that the doctor who administered the injection was ‘unqualified’ and accused him of using expired medicines.
