Bitter sweet ends: 6 unconscious after eating dessert

MULTAN: Six people were rendered unconscious after they ate dessert on Sunday. According to rescue officials, Farid Town Usman Park area resident trader Khalid Mehmood’s children Waqas, Ayesha, Maria and Chanda were given vermicelli cooked by their mother Maqsooda Bibi. After eating the food the children, Maqsooda and her husband lost consciousness. The family was rushed to the hospital and hospital officials said that they were in serious condition and that the food had been poisoned.
