Unifying education: 190 schools in Lyari under one cap

KARACHI: The education department of City District Government Karachi finalised preparations for unification of schools established in the same premises. Muhammad Hussain Syed, the city administrator, recently announced to combine all elementary, primary and secondary schools being run by separate managements in two-three rooms. He selected Lyari Town to begin with the project. District Officer Education Khurram Arif told The Express Tribune that this step will curtail unwanted expenditure on different administrations and improve the standard of education. According to him, approximately 190 schools in Lyari will be unified in the next 10 days.
