HSY studio: Guard killed in boutique robbery

Bashir Khokhar, 45, was found dead in HSY store on Ali Zaib Road when employee Omer walked in at 10am on Saturday.

LAHORE: A security guard was murdered during a Rs250,000 robbery at a men’s boutique in Naseerabad police jurisdiction on Saturday.

Bashir Khokhar, 45, a resident of Bhai Pheru, was found dead in the HSY store on Ali Zaib Road when employee Omer walked in at 10am on Saturday. In his call to Rescue 15, Omer said that it looked like Khokhar had committed suicide, said Sub Inspector Abdul Latif. The sub inspector said that CCTV footage showed two men entering the boutique with Khokhar and then later leaving without him.

The police believe the two men choked Khokhar to death and then cleaned out the store lockers, taking Rs250,000 in cash. He said that an FIR would soon be lodged against two unidentified men.
