FAISALABAD:
A 10th grade student was stabbed and killed by his cousin after they argued on Saturday. According to police officials, ninth grader Ahmad Hayat and tenth grade student Muhammad Husain were studying in the Government High School Kot Issa Shah and were residents of Patti Allahawali.

The boys argued after attending the morning assembly, when the students were going back to their class rooms. Ahmad Hayat chased Muhammad Husain and began brawling over a quarrel between their mothers. “Ahmed said that Husain’s mother had insulted his mother and that he would not ignore the insult,” said a classmate Moeen. Ahmad Hayat attacked Husain with a sharp edge knife and died on the spot.

Police officials said that the fathers of both boys were involved in litigation over property and their families had been quarrelling. Station House Officer (SHO) Police Station Qadirabad has registered a case under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and arrested the accused Ahamad Hayat.
