PPFL: Muslim FC outgun Police in Chaman
A 3-1 win moves them up to 8th in the PPFL.
KARACHI:
Muslim FC outgunned Police 3-1 in the Pakistan Premier Football League match that took place in Chaman yesterday.
Police took an early lead in the match when Asadullah scored the opening goal in the 19th minute. However, that was the only bright spot in Police’s performance as the home team took just eight minutes to equalise through Saeed Ahmed. Mohammad Haji helped Muslim FC take the lead in the 39th minute with the score staying 2-1 at the interval. Mohammad Hanif sealed the win through a 66th minute strike.
“It was an exciting match, in fact the best that has taken place in Chaman this year,” match commissioner Abdul Samad told The Express Tribune. “Both teams are new in the league and the crowd was just excited to see their home team win the match.
“Afghan FC had been the only team in the league from Chaman but now Muslim FC is doing well to draw the crowd.”
