In retaliation to ‘personal criticism’ by members of the PML-N, Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday claimed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would investigate into the alleged fake fumigation against dengue in Punjab.
He was speaking to reporters outside Parliament after a session of the National Assembly. He said that the government of Punjab should focus on solving the problems faced by the people instead of holding sit-ins and protests.
Malik said he had directed the police and the security agencies to provide security to members of the PML-N who were staging a sit-in in front of the President house.
“I know the planning of the PML-N sit-in was made in room 140,” said Malik. He also said he regretted that a ‘certain leader’ had asked the world not to give Pakistan much needed aid.

Did the Punjab govt deal with the Dangue situation perfectly? If not then what is the problem in investigation so we do not repeat it again? Even though Punjab govt failed to deal with the outbreak they are attacking fed govt and giving them valid reason to get to the truth. PML-N never had a dharna at the "discovery" of OBL, Mehran Base, attack on GHQ and likes. Now before the March 2012 senate elections they are waking up from friendly opposition to the real men on the streets. In the next general elections PML-N would be totally wiped out from every small province, not that they are anything at this time except Punjab.
@Arshad jamal bhut, No doubt He is federal minister, but he is failing in his primary duty.Is he worried about killings in Quetta? Or the killings of Shia don't matter?Has he uttered any word about Malik Ishaq? Or the monthly stipend paid to his family? The answer is No.The federal govt belongs to every body including the SHIAS.IS'NT IT?Please correct me if I am wrong.
AIDS was also prepared in laboratories and then was "distributed" in Africa under Humanitarian cover of Food Program. Pakistanis are in habit of receiving "Free" stuff in aid to any disaster. Learn from your past heroes who preferred to die instead taking a single penny aid from Infidels but unfortunately you guys still term them "Friends".
@Gul bahadur: My dear Rehman Malik is Federal Minister he can do it. I am not saying Kurram road should not be investigated. We are all Pakistanis even we are facing many problems.
Why investigate dengue why not investigate the closure of KURRAM ROAD.Punjab is not his responsibility, while KURRAM is,being a federally administered tribal area.
