Musharraf said Afghanistan sends its intelligence staff, diplomats and soldiers to India where they are "indoctrinated against Pakistan," something he said India must stop and the United States (US) should be concerned about.
"In Afghanistan, there is some kind of a proxy conflict going on between Pakistan and India," Musharraf told a leadership forum sponsored by the Atlantic media corporation.
"India is trying to create an anti-Pakistan Afghanistan."
It's ambition, he said, is to "have a weak Pakistan so that it can be dominated, so that it doesn't have any confrontationist attitude which doesn't go well with India's vision of dominating the region."
Musharraf said he understood that India does not seek to take over Pakistan militarily, but rather it wants to dominate Pakistan in the area of foreign policy, economic policy, trade and commerce.
"That is how you suppress, you control or dominate another country," according to the former army chief.
"Afghanistan's intelligence, Afghanistan's diplomats, Afghanistan's soldiers, all the army, security people, they all go to India for training," where they are "indoctrinated against Pakistan," he added.
While he was in power, he said he personally offered Afghanistan free training but "not one man has come to Pakistan for training."
He added: "India must stop it. I would say that the US needs to understand Pakistan's sensitivities. I see there is a lack of concern for Pakistan's sensitivities."
Musharraf spoke after Afghan President Hamid Karzai signed a "strategic partnership" with India on Tuesday.
The partnership -- the first such pact between Afghanistan and another country -- deepens already friendly Delhi-Kabul ties and aims to boost trade, security and cultural links between the countries.

You need history lessons Mush. If you care to look at it, you will realize Afghan have been proud, independent minded people who have not taken any sides ever or have been part of any self serving alliances or pacts for selfish purposes. Neither they have been accused of duplicity or pathological lying. You invented the term strategic depth which no one in Afghanistan are interested in. So please don't give credit to India for creating unfriendly Afghanistan as you can revisit your own failed policies on Afghanistan. The proud Afghans don't agree with your definition of 'friend'. A friend according to me is the one who builds roads, rails, hospitals and help improve the quality of life of ordinary Afghans and also helps with security, law and order and governance. Pakistan so far has done precious little in that respect. Many thanks Dr Kadar Khan FRCS
Compared to all in the last several decades Musharaff was better inspite of the huge pressure India and its cronies had piled up against him. An ordinary Pakistani was much safer then and economically much progressive. Yes, things were not perfect then, but much better during his tenure for Pakistan.
Pakistan Army should eliminate local Taliban activities too along with RAW sponsored Indian Taliban activities in Swat & Baluchistan. They both are evil for peace & civilian casualty. If we only eliminate Indian Taliban that will make India invest more in terrorist activities in Baluchistan by billions of dollars worth of budget they have for Afghanistan. I understand its tempting for Pak to engage India on home-turf after their defense deal with Afghanistan & so shoot two bird with one stone by bleeding Indian economy, like U.S losses in Afghanistan. Only this time it will be Afghan blood India will be using to break Baluchistan from Pakistan. I see Contrary to Pak Citizens general knowledge & inquisitiveness Indians are oblivious to their govt's & defense involvement in such activities & schemes. Instead they have very superficial & unrealistic optimism for their economy. News: U.S. is already removing their offices & centers from India to Singapore & Malaysia after realizing their poor quality of products & services. China's Good Days are numbered due to their biased & tricky trade tactics U.S. is realizing. Result: No U.S. market share-No windfall of Dollars.
@Ms. Suraya You knowledge just based on what Indian Media stated for Indians at Kargel time. You are right that Nawaz Sharif went to USA as Indian Prime Minster was crying and requested USA for sake of Indian Army. And let me tell you that you are lucky that we have stupid politicians who knows to say YES to USA always. The visit of Nawaz Sharif resulted to withdraw our pak army from Kargel and gave passage and ration to Indian Army otherwise we have evacuated our army bareks to get the Indian army to stay some time with us as our army was in India. You should also know that if Nawaz Sharif has not taken a decision to get back our army, Indian army was having only option to surrender as they cannot survive without food for more than 1 week. Once we get a good leader, Inshallah we the people of Pakistan will show what we are. Also note that USA 7th Behri Bera" moved towards Bangladesh not to help Pakistan but to make fool and help Indian. Huge number of Inidans writing against Musharraf is actually and plus point to Musharraf. Please also note that If Musharra comes back again in power, it will be good or Indian Public as you may remember during his time there as tremendous efforts to have good efforts for peace on equal status basis. Lot of delegations of civil society visited both sides and Train and Bus services were started to have public to public contact.
Others targeting Pakistan include Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.Musharafff is desprately rying to get back into Pakistan, never mind Pakistani politics!
Others targeting Pakistan include Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. Pakistan's credibility in the world is at an all time low. Musharaff is just trying desperately to get back into Pakistan, forget Pakistani politics!
@Mohammed Arif: I think you need to have some common sense and general knowledge before commenting..Towards the end of Kargil war, it was Nawaz Shariff went to see Clinton to plead for the safe passage of Pak army and agree to withdraw. Key reason: Pakistan only had 2 weeks of fuel left and Clinton could not guarantee against massive Indian retaliation since inital casualities on Indian side were too high for comfort (They underestimated)..During the Bangladesh war US sent its seventh fleet to Bay of Bengal in support of Pakistan (your so called all weather didn't even bother do anything) and that's why India had to seek Soviet support to counter US forces..There were 90000 POWs from Pakistan Army in Bangladesh towards the end of the war..1992?? donno what you are talking about..
@Khurram* *Make Pakistan a secular country. Open your gates for your neighbours for a free and fair trade and commerce. Within 15 to 20 years you will overtake India. It is for sure.
Going through the comments, it is clear that our friends from across the border are taking social media very seriously and actively commenting on tribune posts. Debate is always good. However I am a bit skeptical about the "recommend" feature. The express tribune team should know that it is very easy to recommend a comment multiple times from the same computer by writing a simple script. I would therefore ask the tribune's web development team to either make the recommend functionality fool proof or provide a feature to dislike a comment also.

@ayesha. Sister! Ruling another land is a thing-of-the-past, all world leaders know that. Ill-will toward an "ex-" or breaking his/her leg is still a source of satisfaction in current time. Now it's proven fact India has those ambitions against us. Although, unless Pak pay close attention to solving in-home problems it cannot do anything else. Sadly, the enemy knows that too & so we have a scenario of "mutiny on a ship" during a storm, "during a battle". Lets say: The captain & top officers on-board have their own goal of jumping-off at right time with their treasures. Now some mutineers are not sure "why" they got on-board in the first place. Now suddenly there is a mutiny among mutineers for looting the left-over wealth & resources the hands of weaker shipmates. Perfect Chaos, isn't it? Let see, a birth of "what" takes place now!
@Ghaznavi: "With this record you need to put at least 2 Million army men in Afghanistan for the next 100 years…."
Unlike Pakistan, India has no desire to rule over Afghanistan. It just wants to help Afghanistan - a concept that you maybe unfamiliar with.
@Kramat: It Indians have received Amjad’s trutful comments with great pain. Amjad my solute to you. You keep deluding yourselves. Stay in your time warp. Suits us just fine to have weak neighbors that we can dominate with ease.
@Kramat: It Indians have received Amjad’s trutful comments with great pain. Amjad my solute to you. This statement pretty much sums up an average Pakistani thought process towards India. Well, I hope not :)
Pakistan keeps talking about it's own sovereignty yet has no respect for Afghanistan's sovereignty. Afghanistan has every right to form relations with other nations in the interest of it's own people. It does not need Pakistan's approval for that. For too long has Afghanistan been used and abused by Pakistan for strategic depth.
duh... when was afghanistan ever in love with pakistan? duh again...did afghanistan (enthusiastically) recognized pakistan in 47? why doesnt this nro hero for creating the mess we are in just clamp up. how sensitive was he when US asked him to impose nro?
singh is king
go and read in rediff.com Wikileaks: Did India support Pakistani Taliban?
the same pakistan taliban who kidnnapped sikhs and was saved after
same pakistan taliban who even killed children and women
mussraaf may be right
It Indians have received Amjad's trutful comments with great pain. Amjad my solute to you.
Did Pakistanis think India will be a silent spectator to the Pak-China alliance? How can it expect other free nations to not do do what is in their best interest? India is on a roll right now. Most recently an alliance with Afghanistan preceded by mending of relations with Bangladesh. It also challenged China directly with its south china sea oil exploration deal with Vietnam. Alliances with US, Russia, UK, France,Germany and Japan are already solidified. You see all countries named here except Pakistan have a strategic interest in containing China. Looks like Pakistan has picked the wrong side for the umpteenth time.
@Amjad we dont worry about your mujahids, our army will deal with them the way we have over the past 20 years.Keep sending them across LOC,every mujahid has an an indian bullet alloted to him and considering our gdp growth we have lots of bullets to spare.
Hamid Karzai needs to be told to stop creating difficulties for Pakistan . He seems to be intentially creating big problems for pakistany's.
Its because of anti-Indian pakistan that makes all this to happen.... Its very interesting days to come...... who'll be the winner
Since when did Mr. Musharaff started taking it for granted that afghans were pro pakistan. They should have thought about this before they supported the taliban which broke the very fabric of afghanistan. And now when someone tries to help afghans with what they actually need pakistan starts feeling insecure...
@Amjad: India knows it very well that Mughals ruled subcontinent for more than 300 hundred years because of Indians cowardness. Do you all Indians commenting here forget this fact? I am sure that fact remains in your dreams.
Don't you think, Where are your ancestors from? Who were they ? and Who are you? Now, don't give more stress to your mind (which you don't have).
The answer is simple of this question.
You all pakistanis are forcefully (or paid money) converted to Islam. Don't forget your ancestors were Hindus and Sikhs.
You people don't have humanity as you only have religious thinking. You people can kill your friends other muslims and even your father and mother for your religion. You people can not develop and properous until you close your Madarsa and religious thinking. Be human first!!!!!!
@Bipul Rajput to @Amjad:
WORTH REPEATING: The cowardly “Indians” are those who could not stand the assault of Muslim invaders and decided to convert to Islam.* And that includes your ancestors.* The Hindus of India, we have ALWAYS stood our ground.
and Dude says: China want anti India Pakistan, gr8 game of Asia.
He is the only leader fighting case of Pakistan international No other politically leader none For that i solute Musharraf
Musharraf is a spent force but still dreaming to rule Pakistan again but the grapes have turned sour for him. The fact of the matter is that it was Pakistan who was indulging in indoctrination of Afghan officers and their troops against Karzai and pro-Taleban ideology and that is why Afghanistan stopped training in Pakistan.
@Amjad:
you said:
India knows it very well that Mughals ruled subcontinent for more than 300 hundred years because of Indians cowardness. Do you all Indians commenting here forget this fact?
i say:
The cowardly "Indians" are those who could not stand the assault of Muslim invaders and decided to convert to Islam. And that includes your ancestors. The Hindus of India, we have ALWAYS stood our ground.
Indian's new found love with the Afghans need their troops on the ground. If India really wants to help Afghans they should replace NATO troops with their own army if they have the guts to do that. But I sincerely don't think so becuase Indians are a timid nation. They could not control 10 Million Kashmiris with 700,00 strong army since 1989. With this record you need to put at least 2 Million army men in Afghanistan for the next 100 years....
I am laughing so hard... :-D
Pakistan asked for this day from early-on by not establishing rule-of-law, equality for all, control of corruption, end of feudal system, tax evasion, IMF dependence, large landowners manipulation of most major democratic, judicial, & defense institution, Pak's unnecessary Involvement in whole neighborhood's problems. If Pakistan don't start to work on its inner ills ASAP the future don't hold much for them. I just ask the scholars & wise-men of Pakistan, where do you want see Pakistan in next 50 years from now and how do you think it will get there? Easy way: Think of Pakistan as a young lad who has not decided about his future career goals yet while every body got a job. Scary isn't it? Now think what is most important for you? Remember: To thine own self be true.
@Haku-nama-tata: " it’s end to get the trophy,"start thinking of Afghanistan as a sovereign country and they will love you.
@Miqs: if you are so proud of him why not invite him to your country, why he is living like a fugitive.
That's why we love you Mushy. You always put your foot on India's tail, who always hatch conspiracies against Pakistan. We wish that we could have more leaders like you.
Musharraf is a liar and is most dangerous for Pakistan's future. His analysis of the reasons for Pakistan's present state of affairs is so wrong that if indeed he has a say in Pakistan's future then we can only say god help Pakistan.
No Pervez, every Afghan seeking the security of his national interest wants an "Anti-Pakistan Afghanistan", rest assured.
@ Arjun, Completely agree withI You, Pakistan has to digest that india is a big country, economy and could be engine of economic growth prosperityfor whole of south asia. And I wanna see high rise buildings in Kabul, a beleagured, cruelly ruled city. Cant we all work for peace and prosperity?can yes wecan, if my beloved country pakistan chooses so. For peace, whole region us with pakistan and the whole world, just my country is yet to make that decision.
India shouldn't try to create anti-Pakistan Afghanistan because our military establishment and Mullahs have already been playing a massive role to turn the entire world against us.
Sometimes, I feel that had it not been an age of internet then we would have ended up with bombings and sanctions, since due to internet people from other parts of the globe do realize that there are still many sane individuals living in Pakistan who wish the spread of rationality and tolerance in their country.....My dad's a great fan of Musharraf and even I appreciate certain positive steps during the ex-president's tenure, but have to call a spade a spade in this issue since Musharraf continues to think that he'll fool the same people playing the same cards again.
Mushi Bhai, how does it feel to be issuing statements after statements sitting pretty in a country that is not even yours? You are not even allowed back in your own home. Ever wondered why? Time you grew up a little and promote peace! We will be willing to forget your Kargil mis-adventure against us then!
Sincerely!
@Mia Musharraf who says "bid to dominate South Asia..."
India has been dominating South Asia since 60 years. There's no new bid. The old deal still exists.
As usual, Pakistani leaders are myopic, ignorant, power hungry, corrupt and tactless.
Musharraf and Imran Khan leads the herd.
Mr. Davis dont't forget that whenever India tried to look towards Pakistan militarily, he always seek help from USA and USSR. And don't forget in 1992 a large size of his army moved from all indian parts towards Pakistan boarder and President Musharraf's warning not to cross an inch towards Pakistan land forced India to go back to its old position after 11 months. And India is lucky and should be thankful to Nawaz Sharif who helped india to save his army in Kargel. Why your Prime Minister approached to USA on Kargel Incident. Asked your cricketers who refused to play circket for years after having seen casulties in Kargel and also remember how many boxes they imported to put death bodies of indian army. Should I also remind you as well that in Bangladesh Indian has to make a war pact with Russia before getting involved with Pakistan Army. India is lucky only as we do not have sincere political leaders.
Mushy, just because you want tp come back to power, don't create more problems for a country already facing economic and security problems. Think about the common people, man! So many in your country are without healthcare, sanitation, education. Look at your security situation. Work on making Pakistan peaceful and selfsufficient man, why are you playing with minds of your people?
Sorry Mush, but India already dominates South Asia. I don't think Pakistan will ever come close. We're like those delusional little children that think we're the cool kids when in reality everyone hates us because we're just outright nonsensical. Haha this is very entertaining. We feel so important when in reality we're a complete joke.
"Musharraf said he understood that India does not seek to take over Pakistan militarily, but rather it wants to dominate Pakistan in the area of foreign policy, economic policy, trade and commerce." India is 6 times bigger in population , has 10 times larger economy which is growing 3 times faster than Pakistan's. These ground realities mean India is already dominating the region. India spent last 20 years investing in education and development while Pakistan has spent the same years trying to develop 'strategic depth' and embarking on military adventures like Kargill.(remember that mr mussharraf ?). There is a lesson that the Pakistan ruling classes need to learn but it is easier to blame the bogeyman!
I just have news for you Mr. Mush
Taliban just send a Telegram to GHQ ,Complaining about sending Pakistani army officer training at USA, They think that American trained Pak Army officer are “indoctrinated against Taliban.
They are asking that training by US must stop. That they want Pakistan needs to understand Taliban’s sensitivities. I see there is a lack of concern for TALIBAN’S sensitivities by MUSH.”
Just so you know ,Taliban also aware that current chief of Army KIYANI also trained by American ,To whome Taliban Inluding Hackkani ,LeT ,AQ is fighting a WAR. This is HUMBLE REQUEST FROM TALIBAN.
QUETTA SHURRA ,YOUR SIRDARD
Suppose Afghan Officials come to Pakistan for training. Where would they stay? Would you put them in seperate camps or they would stay with Taliban?
Musharraf kept going to India several times after leaving office. Also used to brag about how closehe was to resolving Kashmir issue with India
Ever since the following events have occurred, he has changed is tune to become highly anti-India: - he is bidding to return to Pakistan to contest elections - he was refused visa by India
In his heart even he knows that peace rather than war is desirable for Pakistan's own progres and prosperity. His ignominous defeat in Kargill clearly proves that Pakistan does not have the wherewithal to snatch Jammu and Kashmir from India using his strategic assets.
If Mush is pro Pakistan, then why he is not living in Pakistan.
to me it looks like sheer arrogance on our part. It seems we cannot digest the fact that afghans like indians and cant stop thinking afghans as our 5th province. Who are we to tell afghans what they should do? A failed backward poverty driven state, with no electricity, jobs, growth, health and affluence. We shout standing once on crutch of US and next on China. We think we are smart with stolen N technology, but shamefully arrest our own scientist due to international proliferation. India is the regional power of South Asia by default, we agree or not, and is very well on course to become a global superpower in next 20 years. Its going to be the third largest economy in world in 2012. The earlier we accept this fact the better for us. As a visionary, we should think how can we benefit economically sitting next to 2 superpowers, China and India, rather acting like a client stooge.
What a joke, progenies of Ghauri, Ghazni, Abdali are being trained by the progenies of the people(Hindus) who were killed in millions by afghans
Nice to see so many Indians and Afghans (although mostly Northern Alliance Supporters) on this comment site. Always good to have an emotionally strong opposing view in a peaceful manner. .... Reality is India has taken the right path to development and growth...sad to say Pakistan has taken the opposite direction (mostly very much own fault..Corrupt leaders...but a good deal of foreign meddling as well). .... Afghanistan is a different case...feels very sorry for the people who have suffered for 3 decades...India has joined forces with an anti-Pakistan group of illegitimate puppet leaders. Like it or not without taking into account Pakistan’s interest the solution will be elusive to find. ... Would love to see a united subcontinent of South Asia along the lines of Europe in my lifetime.. ... Peace out
What the people of Pakistan wants is maater most. Baluchi do no like to remain in Pakistan, if a refrendum is taken in Sindh,Waziristan and Swat it will go against Pakistan. So first blame politicians and agencies for this anti Pakistan thinking.. First keep the house clean and then point fingers on other countries.
General Musharraf how about to stop sticking our nose in where does not belong and seriously think of saving our own crumbling house. I am much more Pakistani than you are ever going to be because I unlike you, caused no injury or damage to my country and stole no money from the Nation's coffers. You are an opportunist, a survivor and quite adept at changing colors faster than a chameleon where ever you go. Now regarding the sensitivities of Pakistan, these are not the sensitivities of a common Pakistani but of the Ruling Elite who has been exploiting us right from the beginning by telling us that India is always planning to gobble us up sooner than later, but never talked about the who has been sticking thorns in India's side and who started all those wars against India the last one was your own brain child. My family it is on the record has made more than its share of sacrifices in 1947, 1965 and 1971 wars, these were completely unwanted wars which we imposed upon India, where we gained nothing to show and you still think India ought to be our well wisher. Same goes for Afghanistan, we are fully responsible for harming that country to the hilt and Afghans hate us with a passion. I hope you remember the evacuation from Kanduz in October 2001, by the way what were our men doing there building roads and hospitals or killing innocent people to impose upon them our domination. India will take advantage but only of our stupidities and we are known for providing them with plenty. Every one knows that India has built roads, hospitals, substations and erected great distances of transmission lines. Now who would you prefer as your friend one who rebuilds your country or the one who who harms it. Therefore quit putting the same old dog pony show, we had enough of it. Economically we are a bankrupt nation living on handouts. No one trusts us anymore and anywhere in this world including our "all weather" friends, we have no credibility left to speak of why because people like you who are dishonest and unreliable to the core.
There is still time to save what ever is left of my Nation but first we must completely change our own mental map and behavior, introspect faults sincerely and honestly; openly admit them because we have been denying and disowning them for too long. I know to do this needs enormous courage and great vision which unfortunately I do not see in any of my leaders. We also need to get rid of our (strategic assets) because these are the main enemies of my country who are far more dangerous for Pakistan's existence than India or Afghanistan put together and these are living within the borders of my country not outside in the countries you are pointing your finger at.
Does this mean we can give the millions of afghani refugees to hindustan?
Though I do not support Musharraf but what he is referring is probably correct. The signing pact of India and Afghanistan simply has not happened due to two countries but probably a lot of Push from US to both the countries, as for the training, is probably similar scenario where US possibly can't afford much expenses and trying to work with India to invest there. at the end of the day, I think "Money" is coming out of India's pocket and their tax-paying people.
This guy is the Sarah Palin of Pakistan politics. Dumber than a bucket of nails and looks for attention at every opportunity.
India denied VISA to Musharraf last time he wanted to visit India. India should have granted him VISA and then arrested him on arrival and charged him with Kargil war criminalities.
Musharraf needs to understand that he is no longer the Generalissimo President of Pakistan. People, including most Pakistanis, pay as much attention to his mutterings as they do to the views of another former president, Muhammad Rafiq Tarar.
Musharaff will say anything to get attention, grab headlines, foster trouble...start new Kargils..good riddance to you!
Here's a guy, Mush. that ought to keep quiet and ought to stop worrying about India and start worrying about the internal strife that is plaguing Pakistan. I liken this to North Korea giving advice on democracy and human rights to the Western world.
India has enough problems of its own, I highly doubt Pakistan is on the list of issues it wants to contend with. Mush., is just trying to stay relevant in the event that Pakistan falters and he'll be the unsung hero trying to bring back its glory days. This is the normal Modus Operandi of former dictators supported by the U.S. all in the name "stability."
The big question is, do people even care what he thinks?
Mushy, it is just like saying Pakistan wants an anti-India China or anti-India Afghanistan. Coming from you, it is like all the other questionable statements you make. People know your agenda. Get some legitimacy first.
How can you force Afghanistan not to have a relationship with India? You can't force Afghanistan to or from doing anything. They are a sovereign country just like Pakistan. What they do is upto them. Doesn't Mush understand this simple concept?
If not a single Afghan came to Pakistan for training, for free as Mush says, how is that Afghanistan's fault? Obviously something must be rotten with that training that makes it worthless even if it is free.
Musharaf is half right...by means to say, india wants economic, political dominance in the region..why not ? we are big in economy, big in political voice, we are part of g20 club and have a place in security council ( at the moment non veto membership ), and have military might compared with any world powers....thats how regional politics works. look at south america, even though argentina and mexico are equally big, its is brazil that is going to be voice of latino people. for east asia its china, and africa its south africa and for arabs its saudi arabia.. by saying that we are not asking saarc nation to be slave to india, but acceptable to the might and power of india at global stage...
rather be speculative and suspicious, pakistan should be proud that there is a member from saarc nation who can represent and voice their concern in international forum, had there been commanality prevail across the region... for that to happen, the saarc nation must accept india bigger role..whether you like it or not, thats what going to happen. the world accepts that, most of saarc accepts that..so its time for pakistan to recognize it.
now dont bring indias poverty rate for god sake..every country that i mention above have poverty in one form or other..a rising power always be measured what they contribute overall world, interms of economy , political equality, and making a rightful contribution, and india rightly fits the bill... for once, i agree with musharaff ( well mostly ) ;)
Make Musheraff Ambassador to America . He was a terrible president but he has strong support in america and is good with the media.
Mush was anti -India before he came to power and did Kargill, Once he came to power, he realized that peace rather than war with India is to Pakistan's advantage. He proudly claims that India and Pakistan were close to a resolution on all outstanding issues. Now that he is out of power - he is back to his anti-India rhetoric. Where is the supoort for the statement that all dipomats and army personnel being sent to India for training are indoctrinated aainst Pakistan?
No. India wants a stable democracy in Afghanistan without becoming a safe haven for terrorists. Now Pakistan has to decide whether such a state would constitute anti-Pakistan or not!
What an idiot. India is a peace-loving nation and it has never waged war on any nation. All the wars were waged against her. We Indians want peace and prosperity in the whole of South-Asia including Afghanistan. Afghans are like our brothers and it's our moral responsibility to help the struggling nation.
The statements made by Musharraf are outright ridiculous, tending to insult the intelligence of his audience. They betray a belligerent mindset that has trouble getting over the past. It's time for Pakistan to move forward, stop blaming others, and discard old geopolitical paradigms. It's the 21st century not the 1950s.
Do people who matter listen to him ???
Pakistan installed anti Indin goverment in afghanistan for 10 years and now they are complaining. What a joke.
I beg to differ with Sir Musharraf although I greatly respect his military vision -- like he so astutley demonstrated in 1999. Our honorable Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has spoken out recently after long days of silence clearly stating that India wants to see a prosperous and happy Pakistan. It would be almost sacrilegious to doubt Manmohanji's honesty and integrity. Pakistan is already overburdened with the task of providing training to Kashmiri, Chechen, Uzbek, Yemeni, Arab as well as British Muslim personnel apart from talented youngsters from its own country. It is because of such a busy schedule of the Pakistani trainers that the Afghans out of their own volition have decided to take their tuition classes in India. This should not misinterpreted by wise Sir Musharraf as an anti-Pakistani activity. The whole world respectfully recognizes that it needs Pakistan more than Pakistan needs the world's and its own citizens.
One would agree with President Pervez Musharraf's view point vis- a -vis Indian proxy war against Pakistan to destabilise it.Gen:Musharraf is presenting Pakistan's case most effectively before the world at large, while govt.of Pakistan, suffering from inertia, has almost done nothing.Well done General Sahib,Pakistan needs you.
“India is trying to create an anti-Pakistan Afghanistan.” Why would India do that? Musshy, you are India obsessed. Clean out the terrorists from Pakistan first then talk. Your country is infested with terrorists..
I mean, this man is a runway from his own house and is trying to lecture the neighbors. He's the back stabber responsible for Kargli fiasco and is trying lecture on trust and sensitivities. Quite a joker !
how can we forget what he and army did at lal masjid. We cannot trust him anymore.
Mr. Mushurraf - our dear Pakistan needs no Indian help in being hated by Afghanistan. They hated us well before any Indian overtures. What did we give Pakistan? The Taliban? Meddling in their affairs? No resolution over the Durand Line issue? Let's stop kidding ourselves and stop our paranoia with India. We have problems to fix in Pakistan. Water, power, education, infrastructure, corruption, sectarian violence, terrorism, etc. Giving BMW 7-Series limos to Armed Forces officers in ISB doesn't fix any of those problems.
Oh, please. If Pakistan were to become friendly, India would be all too willing to sign a pact with them too. Our aim is to have a peaceful neighbourhood so we can progress economically and provide prosperity to all Indians. When will Pakistan wake up, get out of its siege mentality and look around to see where the world is going?
While he was in power, he said he personally offered Afghanistan free training but “not one man has come to Pakistan for training
Well Mr. Mush ,You have helped yourself to answer ,Why Afghan seeks training from a Army Which have not won single War in history ,
So Mush is telling ,when all Pakistani army officer trained at US ,They also indoctrinated against Pakistan??STOP SENDING PAKISTAN ARMY OFFICER TO TRAINED AT USA.
Mr. Mush ,You are underestimate your both neighbour ,Whining at intl. forum not going to help you.
Afghanistan’s intelligence, Afghanistan’s diplomats, Afghanistan’s soldiers, all the army, security people, they all go to India for training,
You forget one more reason why they go to India ? Because we have Bollywood there and Afghan love Bollywood and Indian love Kabuliwala.
I Am Proud That That Man Was My President
Hats Off Sir .. He Stands Out from The Rest .. I Miss You
"Afghanistan’s intelligence, Afghanistan’s diplomats, Afghanistan’s soldiers, all the army, security people, they all go to India for training,” where they are “indoctrinated against Pakistan,” he added."
Ha ha.. This is a bit too much even for a Pakistani on the street. All the Army and Security People go to India for Training? That would be 10`s of thousands.
Let them do that, but a country like Pakistan with a collapsed economy simply can't afford to make it our fifth province.
