KAMALPUR: Vehicles on the motorway are being strictly monitored following the Kalar Kahar tragedy and over 174 vehicles have been barred from using the motorway. Motorway police at the Kamalpur interchange said that authorities were checking all route permits, registration and fitness certificates of drivers of large vehicles. So far, 174 vehicles have been banned from the motorway after the route permits turned out to be forged. The banned vehicles also include several company buses and vans. Company representatives have promised to provide original route permits and have been given a six day deadline to present their documents.
