Sirikot-Panian Road: Work on Rs500m project begins

HARIPUR: The Phase-II of the Sirikot-Panian Road was inaugurated by K-P Chief Minister (CM) Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Tuesday. The project cost is estimated to be Rs500 million. A sum of Rs16 billion has been allocated for the flood-affected area, making a big cut on the development schemes, he said. Also,Rs1 billion has been allocated for the Bacha Khan self-employment scheme last year and earmarked the same amount for the current year, Hoti said. An amount of Rs1.3 billion has been allocated for technical training. The government degree colleges for boys and girls at Ghazi will be turned into postgraduate colleges; he announced a degree college for boys in Tanawal area and blacktopping of different link roads in Haripur.
