Cricket: T&T’s hopes still alive

NEW DELHI: Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) defeated Cape Cobras by two wickets in their Champions League Twenty20 encounter to keep alive their hopes of progressing to the semi-finals. Kevin Cooper scored a vital 25-run knock off 11 deliveries to help T&T chase down Cobras’ modest total of 137. On Sunday, Chris Gayle clobbered Somerset’s bowlers all over the park to give the Royal Challengers Bangalore a big win. Gayle’s 86-run knock off just 46 balls helped Bangalore post a massive 206 off their quota of overs. In response, Somerset could only manage 155 for six, losing the match by 51 runs.
