Speaking to the media outside Parliament House in Islamabad, Wahab said that the PML-N was not serving the masses by provoking the people and spreading violence.
“I want to ask the people of Punjab, have they served the masses through the destruction of the country’s assets?” said the PPP leader.
Earlier, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif had directed the party to support street protests against prolonged loadshedding and disruption of power.
Fueled by continued power outages, mayhem spread across the country, with infuriated demonstrators attacking buildings, policemen and passing vehicles for a second consecutive day.
The hardest hit by the rioting were Punjab’s urban centres – where there were scores injured and arrested.

Mian Nawaz Sharif and his brother are suffering from political isolation. They are rapidly losing the minimum left torn popularity and thus getting hysteric. The recent decision to support protest against Government seems hilarious. PML-N is in catch -22 positions and has no chances to come in power again. One thing that is important is that PML-N would not go for protest Dharna when hundreds of Shias are killed, to get the facts out on OBL’s presence in Kakul, Mehran Base, Karachi killings, Baloch killings, etc. However, to avoid March 2012 senate elections they would go to any extent even to torpedo the new democracy. Being a regional party, PML-N does not have any chance in the senate elections and their best bet is to come to power via backdoor or SC’s help.
Hadn't she resigned?
she should not indulge in blame game; rather PPP should support their rhetoric with ground reality.
My humble suggestion to the honorable parliamentarian is that you focus on doing your job as Government (which you seriously lack in) and let the opposition play their games (which they are good at). Unfortunately in the end, the only one who suffers is the common man on the street. If PPP had delivered even 25% of what they had promised to deliver, we wouldnt be in this sorry state today.
Oh well MS Fauzia Wahab you and we are living in this beautiful country. You been on the hot seats since 4 years ... what have you done in these years except blame game? Have you ever thought for a single moment that what actually are you doing to these poor people? Students can't study, doctors cannot operate... patients are dying... what are you people upto? 7-8 thousand mw shortage? does it make sense??Fan are literally ON now a days .. AC are 80 percent OFF.Why this much shortfall? If you cannot run this beautiful country then you should step out.Leave us to live.
Lets hear how much demand supply gap has been covered by present Government?
How many additional megawatts have been added to the National Grid (more) than the increase in demand?
If we have these figure on the table, for the last three and a half years, we'll be able to see the performance of present Government
Welcome Back FW :)
Btw, "after" the protests, GEPCO Chief has announced reduction in loadshedding in Gujranwala to the tune of 4 to 6 hours (in a day)
She should have been the information minister. She makes sense.
And Ms Wahab there is no power shortage?
People are without power for 6-10 hours. Business are hurting.
What happened to power that RPP were to add. How many KW are the Turkish floating power plants docked near Karachi adding?. And how much is being paid to them?.
