SCBA Elections: Justice (r) Rizvi files papers for presidential poll

LAHORE:

Justice (r) Rasheed A Rizvi on Monday submitted his nomination papers for the presidential elections of the Supreme Court Bar Association on Monday.

Hamid Khan and Munir A Malik, both former SCBA presidents, accompanied Justice (r) Rizvi as he submitted his forms at the bar’s Lahore office.

Khan also heads the Professional Group of Lawyers, Rizvi’s expected main opponent for the post, Yasin Azad, has not yet submitted his papers, the deadline for which is October 8. Azad has the support of the incumbent SCBA president, Asma Jahangir. The elections are to be held on October 28.
