President Zardari is a threat to democracy: Nawaz Sharif
"President Zardari is proving to be a threat to democracy, as I predicted a few years back", Sharif said.
Addressing a meeting of his party's Executive Council here Monday at Punjab House, Sharif said that during his premiership, Pakistan was in debt of only Rs3 trillion and now our foreign loans have exceeded Rs8 trillion. He said that the government has made Pakistan a beggar in front of the world due to its corruption.
Sharif said that the present government has given the people of Pakistan nothing but humiliation. He said that due to the wrong policies of our present government, we are being isolated internationally.
He said the investors are hesitant to invest in Pakistan while the domestic investors are also moving their businesses out of the country.
The party meeting was held to discuss current political situation, economic condition, implementation of decisions of the recently held All Parties Conference (APC), uncontrolled inflation, worsening electricity shortfall and the party’s future strategy.
Sharif said that the government did not take the parliament or the public into confidence on any matter. He pointed out that the resolutions passed by the parliament on the Abbottabad operation have not been implemented yet.
Sharif further said that in a country where the judiciary's decisions are ridiculed, justice cannot prevail.
PML-N chief also announced to visit Balochistan in a couple of days and said that it is unjust that the Baloch members were not invited to the APC.

Pakistan's democracy is only a change of shift in US Policy. By the way when their was a democracy in pakistan other than the halabooo of Political parties and media.

If Zardari is a threat to democracy, Nawaz Sharif is a threat to Pakistan itself. Investors are not choosing Pakistan not because of Zardari but because of terrorists and blasphemy monsters. Mr.Nawaz Sharif, have you as an opposition leader given any good suggestion or solution to the current problems faced by this nation. While millions of people are devastated by floods, you find time and leisure to play dirty politics.
Nawaz is miffed that Gen Kayani did not answer his questions in the APC.
It is too late to realize that Zardari is a threat to Democracy. In my opinion most of parliamentarians with their fake degrees, total disregard to public sufferings and with their wealth parked in foreign banks, are a threat not only to democracy but also to the survival of Pakistan. This includes the Sharif brothers too.
i want to ask Mian sahib with all due respect to elaborate on how Zardari is threat to democracy. He should give reasons and arguments. Somebody can also accuse of Nawaz Sharif of being a threat to democracy. however, this statement of Nawaz Sharif after shaking hands with General Kayani at APC holds special significance.....
President Zardari, the head of Pakistan's democracy is himself a threat to democracy. What an irony.
But that doesn't mean democracy is a worthless, dispensable system. Pakistan is a huge nation with great upcoming talent. In the coming years I'd like to see a Pakistani president from Balochistan or FATA. That would be a great triumph for Pakistani democracy.

Unfortunately we are still babies as for as politics is concerned. He is there for the last three and half years fighting and strengthening the democracy and has declared democracy the best revenge
