Official visit: Fehmida to meet Malaysian leaders

Fehmida will hold meetings with the Senate Chairman, Speaker of the National Assembly of Malaysia and other leaders.

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza proceeded on an official five-day visit to Malaysia on Sunday.

During her stay in Malaysia, Fehmida will hold separate meetings with the Senate Chairman and Speaker of the National Assembly of Malaysia and other leaders of the Malaysian political hierarchy, according to a press release. Her talks will focus on Malaysian assistance for flood-stricken people in Sindh, augmentation of existing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, especially between the Pakistani and Malaysian legislatures. The speaker will also meet Pakistan expatriates living in Malaysia to muster support for flood rehabilitation efforts.
