The next three months are crucial for Pakistan due to increasing terrorist activities. This was said by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain while talking to media personnel at the K-P House on Sunday.
“There is a need to devise a strong policy to combat any aggression in future, while any action against the Haqqani group would be decided by the government and security forces,” said Hussain.
He said that the people of Pakistan have rendered tremendous sacrifice in the war on terror, adding that the security forces possess the capability to meet all kinds of challenges.
“Pakistan condemns all sorts of terrorism and would continue its endeavour to eliminate this menace from its soil. However, we will not accept American dictations. We want to have peaceful relations with every country on equal footing, and no country should consider that as our weakness,” he remarked.
Referring to the recent All Parties Conference, Hussain said it was a very successful conference, which had sent a clear message to the whole world that all the political parties were united on a single platform for the solidarity and sovereignty of Pakistan.
He also offered his sentiments of affection to the people of Hazara Division and said that the Awami National Party has been following Bacha Khan’s ideology of non-violence. “The government is doing its best to bring development in Hazara,” he said.
