The protest comes amid heightened tensions between two neighbours, with Afghan officials blaming Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Taliban's senior leadership of plotting to kill Rabbani.
Under tight security, the one-hour rally passed without any incidents. But protesters appeared angry and carried large banners with slogans as they chanted "Death to Pakistan" and "Death to ISI".
"Pakistan and its ISI must stop interfering in Afghanistan. Our patience is running out," said Daoud Kodamani, a 22-year-old university student.
"Fighting our country's enemies is nothing new for Afghans and Pakistan is another enemy to fight with," he said.
Many Afghans have long accused Pakistan and the ISI of backing insurgent groups to further Islamabad's own interests, which Pakistan denies.
Rabbani, who was head of the High Peace Council tasked with trying to reach a negotiated settlement to the 10-year war, was killed at his Kabul home on Sept. 20 by a suicide bomber claiming to be carrying a message of peace from the Taliban leadership.
Rabbani's killing was widely seen a major blow to the peace process and came amid worsening security in the country as NATO-led troops begin handing security responsibility to Afghan troops in preparation for full withdrawal from the country by the end of 2014.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai hinted on Saturday he had lost hope in pursuing peace talks with the Taliban, whose leadership council, or Shura, is believed to be based in the Pakistani city of Quetta.
Karzai said Afghanistan should be negotiating peace with Pakistan instead.
Afghan provincial officials say Pakistan's military had fired hundreds of rockets between Sept. 21 and Sept. 25 in eastern Kunar and Nuristan provinces, which share a long border with lawless tribal areas inside Pakistan.
Although, the shelling did not cause major casualties, it followed more than a month of bombardments by Pakistan's military in June and July that Afghanistan said had killed at least 42 people.
Pakistan has repeatedly blamed Afghanistan for giving safe haven to militants on its side of the border, particularly in Kunar province, leaving it vulnerable to counter-attack when it chases them out of its own ethnic Pashtun tribal areas.

I dont know why all commentators here see only one side of picture. Why we dont want to see the other side of coin.
Lets accept the fact that there is a long history of anti-pakistan sentiments in Afghanistan. Look at it, too.
Other than that we also recognise the fact that yousuf Raza gilani and our army chief went to Afghanistan to cool the deep rooted anti-pakistan sentiments in Kabul and rebuild bilateral relations. That spirit should continue.
Dont, forget that many Afghans also hate pakistan because of our support to taliban during 90's when taliban ruled afghanistan.
Also, contrary to our general understanding of Afghanistan, there are four-five major ethnic groups there other than pashtun. These include tajiks, uzbiks and hazara's.
I think we little understand Afghan politics.
We indians need to put our house in order first where honest police officer are being persecuted due to their uprightness. where noble citizens are picked by security forces and tortured to death in residences of chief ministers. Its mockery of democracy.
through these afghanis in india. seal the durand border. afghanistan once again doing a mistake. we should not be part of afghan-pak sphere anymore. we are pakistan. we have our own identity. we should leave the label of "muslims of india" or "pashtuns of afghan" to tell the world what is "pakistani" we are our own nation. i wanna see how many stupid afghanis india and iran can give asylums. its the india who helped ussr in soviet war. salam hay afghanistan and karzai ki soch ko. they destroyed their own country. now they want to destroy us. this af-pak friendship is giving us difficulties. Pakistan First. Nothing else. Good bye Afghanistan.
@Samiullah Noor: I am sure u are proud of the fact that the ISI is ranked no1 in the world though it would be much better if the civilian institutions were similarly ranked.
@Pragmatist: google these words " world's best intelligence agency" you will find tons of lists. And 90 percent of the listings have ranked the ISI as number 1 in the world. Most rating agencies rank ISI better than CIA, MI(5to hundred) and Mousad. General Pasha was declared as on of the top 50 most influential personalities in the world. You think he will be going to hospital for his BP check up because about a 100 paid NGO workers protested against ISI. Thats funny.
@Ikramuddin Akbar: Come one. It was one poor uni student out of the protesters. dont take him that seriously. When we were in uni, we would also go out for some protests which we really didnt even know about. But we knew we were going to have a good lunch and some fun. The problem lies somewhere else. NATO+USA+ Afghan Government (Karzai +CIA)+ ( RAW-Abdullah Abdullah)*(Amrullah Saleh+Mousad). The = sign lies somewhere in between this simple equation.
@Someone: It looks more like efforts of pro-Indian "professionals" like Amrullah Saleh and Abdullah Abdullah. These poor ignorant protesters are really innocent. But one day these Afghan politicians like Amrullah Saleh and Atmar will realize that who is their real enemy.
@Bangladeshi: I support Bangladeshi
@Gandhiji: First of all stop using Bapu's name and has Afghanistan asked for any such help from India ? These types of actions are not called help but interference.
We are strange people. We can accommodate millions of Afghanis but we cannoaccommodate few thousands of Pakistanis who are still lingering in camps in Bangla Desh after the East Pakistan debacle.
The time has come for us Indians to sacrifice our blood for Afghans. Afghans need our army and our money, lets send the peace-maker troops to Afghanistan; we need to provide cover to US to flee; and our Afghan brothers will be forever indebted to us. We should provide shelter to Afghan refugees too; and give them as much money as they want.
I can understand and accept Pak interference in Afghan affairs. But what is astonishing is the fact that Indians are being portrayed as Afghan sympathesirs when they did not utter a single world against Soviet Occupation for 10 long years. On the other hand we stood up and faced the Russian Bear. Sure we had American support but to antagonize a super power took some guts. Look at Americans. They are willing to threaten an ally for failing to stop cross border attacks. And we were officialy and actively supporting / guiding / brain washing / recruiting Mujahedeen to take on RUSSIA in our backyard. We are lucky there was no MIKE MULLEN or we would have been obliterated.
The purpose of my comments is not to take sides in the debate but to inject a proper framework / perspective.
these people should look how their other neighbors behave with them and how pakistan behaved? how many afghanis are in iran? and india destructed them with soviet. we should be pakistan first and muslim second
@Bangladeshi: If you do good to someone do it from the goodness of your hearth do not expect them to be forever grateful and subservient. India feed 10 million refugees from Bangladesh and helped in its liberation where it went wrong was not treating Bangladesh as an equal post liberation hence we had animosity for so many yrs . The problem with Pakistan is the same it has helped Afghanistan but now it wants to play kingmaker hence the resentment.
hamari billi hum hi ko miaoon.............!!!!!!!!!
So this is how ' strategic depth 'looks like. And to think you pakistanis sacrificed your entire future for this day. When are you going to wake up and smell the gunpowder ( not to mention the horrible stench of an ideal long dead and now in desperate need of a decent burial)? Think things are bad now? Wait till American aid dries up. Then the chickens will come home to roost. By the way, it is true that Kashmir do not want to be a part of India, but, they do not want to be a part of Pakistan either. And who can really blame them?
@Shafig Nasery Assalaam U Alaikum First let me clarify by saying that indeed pakistan did reeive foreign aid by countries but they soon abandoned us when the najibullah govt took control. We then dealt with millions of your refugees.Today millions of afghans are in pakistan.I am sorry to say but after the Afghan war street cime ,drugs, illegal weapons were smuggled in pakistan in large quantitties. The thing which amazes we is how easily can you forget my country's help and coopertaion particularly during the taliban regime.Toay thes so called aghan youth come up and chant death slogans against us.call us enemy .Its completly pathetic and disgusting and I feel pakistan should seriously consider its coopertaion agaist ur people including letting them live in pakistan and selling them wheat cheaply if this propaganda continues.Dont forget we too have lost over 35000 people and donnot know when will this bloodshed will come to an end.
Afghans should not protest. Afghanistan and Pakistan are 2 pillars on which the House of Islam stands. As Lincoln once said - "A house divided against itself cannot stand,". Similarly Afghans have to sacrifice to keep the Ummah secure and keep fighting the Americans and keep the Indians out of Dar-al-Islam. Thank you.
@Faisal: you better dont mess with pakistanis.you ll forget those hunderd years of rule(Pakistan apparently is not even 100 years old) ,once you get nuked, you ll only remember the misery ahead.
Wow -Too many Indian Trolls diving in with the same old same old . . . . Atttention: Scapegoat Alert! Scapegoat Alert! Scapegoat! Scapegoat Alert!!!
Ok wait who do these afghans think they are? It's laughable that they think they even have a right to protest.
@Afghan traitor: not all but the haters they celebrated when india won in peshawar every pathan hates them for that
they hate us than they should leave pakistan i am sick of there drug mafias supplting drugs to pakistan they roam around freely in islamabad making tent cities on government land worth crores of rupees
Wow!!!. Its Party time in India!..
Can we Pakistanis wake up and smell the roses? We have to stop interfering in Afghanistan and everywhere else in the world. I'm shocked by the comments of many fellow countrymen on here who are telling the Afghans to be thankful for what Pakistan has done for them. That's like stabbing someone and then telling them to be thankful for taking them to the hospital to be treated for the wounds.
Pakistan interfered heavily in Afghanistan and ruined the previous relative-inter-ethnic peace. The likes of Zia were more than happy to take American dollars to fight the USSR to build up the Mujahideen to go take on India in Kashmir. Let's face it - all of Pakistan's strategic assets are backfiring and the whole strategy of Pakistan since 1970 has been 100% wrong. Pakistan is going off a cliff - wake up and turn it around!
@Someone: Search for '' paid stone pelters kashmir" on google and you will get the going rate in the sub-continent
where there is smoke, there is fire.
Lol... there would be no Afghanistan(as of history) if not for ISI and Pakistan. People should be a bit more grateful
Employed by NATO and USA......lol
Hope the Indians paid them well!!! Money talks!! LOL Where is the popcorn and potatoe chips? . . . waiting for the next scene the Indians will play for the world . . . .
@Faisal: I think you have it the other way around, Afghans were ruled by the Persians for many years until they achieved independence under Ahmad Shah Abdulli who was born in Multan Pakistan! As for the land of Afghanistan it too was ruled by the Mughals for several centuries along with Pakistan and India. As for present day Afghanistan, they currently ruled indirectly by India who sends agents and criminals to Pakistan.
@amjid: How dare you talk such rudely about Afghan Brethrens ? Aren't they providing you the so beloved "strategic depth"
Khuda Hafiz
Kallu Mama
Exactly!!!
The Ummah is breaking down now is it?
I'm glad to know the level of intellectual though that Pakistanis are capable of. We need not move a finger to achieve you know what...
I suggest an innovative response to Kabul manipulation. Direct most of good via southern route to Kandhar. Let them deal with Pustoons in Kadhar. This will level the playing field.
Forget about Kashmir and Afghanistan. Start thinking seriously about holding on to Pakistan. FATA is in control of Taliban and NW by Haqqani. Baluchistan is on there verge of being like East Pakistan.
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere".
we will never stop meddling in the affairs of this poor and bad luck country - Afghanistan. Such a beautiful country and we have ruined her. I wish we and our kids would be thought a true history here and the fact is that in the last 40 years we have done everything possible to keep Afghanistan week, so our own Pashtoon case won't come up. Zia use to "Afghanistan ke Haandi obalathay rehana, bas bahir na giray". History has shown that that country has given birth to some of the most intellectual, able and brave sons who left their mark - Sher Shah, Ahmad Shah, Allaudin, Moezudin, Mir Wais, few among the many. : By playing with fire there, we have put ourselves on fire, yet we don't admit, it's like , closing her eyes, thinking that the cat is gone, in reality the cat stays here and make her go. Pashtoons on our side are burning and so is Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad along with lovely Peshawar, but our deep state lives in fantasy land, thinking they will control everything. Well, when (god forbid) the country won't be there, what will they control.?
@Someone: "Wondering how much NATO/Afghan government payed these poor little unemployed youth"
Definitely can't be more than what Pakistan has been paying for the "freedom fighters" to do terrorist acts in Kashmir.
Pakistan has been self serving in its foreign policy towards Afghanistan. You have used and abused Afghanistan for the so called strategic depth and has tried to make it a veritable of arm of pakistani territory. Remember Saudis and Pakistan where the only countries to recognize taliban before 9/11. Not even Iran. You tried to play islamic card with Iran, but they are clever people. They know your love for islam and invocation of religion is just a hoax for its self serving interest and pure hatred towards india and nothing more. Pakistan has abused religion like no other country to gain what ever it thought was in its interest. Now it is reaping what it has sowed.
You say China is "All weather Friend". How low can a foreign policy can stoop to. The comments that where made in China by Mr.Gilani was a desperate attempt to hide its isolation in the world. Deeper than the see LOL! Just think for a moment, why should China risks its exports and its economy by siding Pakistan against US and the west in case of war. Remember China is the biggest creditor of US. A war with US it can forget all its dollars stacked in american bonds. So before trusting china, think what Pakistan and china has in common? An Islamic republic and a capitalistic communist authoritarian regime has only one think in common. INDIA. But is it worth the risk? An economic down turn in China will see a massive uproar in china which is already witnessing such problems. Pakistan must mend its ways to be a contender in world affairs. Mere lies and posturing is not going to help it any more.
@Khan: "NATO collateral damage is acceptable but Pakistan chasing Afghan terrorists is not acceptable. Double standards, anyone?"
Well drones are also acceptable to your country but I am sure you would not be OK if India did hot pursuit of Pak based terrorists like LeT and JeM.
@Someone: "Wondering how much NATO/Afghan government payed these poor little unemployed youth" Probably as much as ISI paid those guys holding the Hate Amrica Crush Amrica posters.
@Amjad: Broooo I agree with you. We must close our boarder. Hundred and thousands of Afghans involved terrorists activities in Pakistan.
@R S Johar/Pragmatist: india will never put there forces in afghanistan, as usual you are hoping to get other countries to address your so called grievances, you talk about Pakistan and Bangladesh and yet forget what you are doing in Kashmir, you would yourself dream of the day when you put your forces in afghanistan, To all Pakistanis: we should not curse our afghan brothers for a handfull of cia arranged protesters, if Pakistan gave shelter to afghans, it was our moral and religious duty and we should not press for our favors
It is said that all Muslims are brothers, Pakistanis and Afghans share heritage, language, Religion and relation shared by no other. We opened our doors when they where in need, We gave them homes and We helped them get there land back.We have given them route to them to trade throw our ports even what they did in Pre-Soviet Invasion Era.And today they say “Death to Pakistan”, No wonder Muslims even having immense resources couldn't become a "Power".
@Ben: Afgans are pro India is not because they hate Pakistan but India is investing close to 2B$ in reconstruction of Afganistan. Of course, India has got interest in it because Afganistan strergic location to central asia? On the other hand, Pakistan also trying to influence Afganistan by accommodating refugees & providing major supply lines. However it seems Pakistan is trying to influence in the same way they did for Taleban I.e creating insurgency through strategic assets. Pakistan has already paid enormous price with more than 30000 lives with their previous strategic assets but still they did not learn the lesson & expect the same what happened after USSR left, but this will not work this time as US & west already isolating Pakistan if they don't give up their strategy for their old assets.
Pakistan if does not like India's involement then they now should start Co-operation in development & peace if not investment. In the long run, it will benefit complete region including Pakistan
It is time we tell the Afghans that Pakistan was better off without the Afghanis inside Pakistan. Pakistan has fed them and supported them for 30 long years, become a den of drugs and terrorism just because of them.... why don't they just GO AWAY... and leave us alone!
So..how come I only see about 7 people standing with banners against Pakistan ....Is that all the antipakistani establishment backed by India could buy in Afghanistan to stand against Pakistan. We love our Afghani/ Pakistani brethren.. I have most of my family in AFGHANISTAN and other half in Pakistan. Pakistan is our another homeland. There is a legitimate reason for Pakistan to be involved with the affairs of Afghanistan as 70 % of Pashtuns in Pakistan have relatives and cousins on the other side of the border in Afghanistan...... My friends who came to PAKISTAN after soviet war as an immigrant, love living there and don't want to go back to Afghanistan,,,, Where as INDIA has nothing to do with Afghani people....its their intelligence RAW for political reasons spreading all the filth against Pakistan and making fool of Afghani people !!!!!!!!!!
SEE THE TRUTH and use the common sense .....
The timing of Osama's assasination, the US embassy blast and the recent Killing of Mr. Rabbani.... they all fit in beautifully to create a hostile environment against Pakistan..... This is CIA at work... they are setting the scene for a show down. I shall not be surprised if there is a Blast in Bombay in a couple of days and Indians become hostile too..... Man this is too Good to be True!
Maybe as Pakistani's we should get off are high horse and actually listen to what the Afghani's are saying. We need to stop interfering in the affairs of other countries. We are in part responsible for the atrocities that have taken place in Afghanistan and to say that Afghanistan should be grateful to us is just despicable. Maybe they should be grateful to us for raising people like Gulbuddin Hekmatyar or funding the Taliban. We need to stop indulging ourselves in conspiracy theories and realize that we need to change ourselves and the way play our international politics.
poor afghans ` the Americans just use them.
ha ha ha good joke
Aabpara industry is now facing the music!
War Against Soviet Union was over in 1989 and Afghan Taliban (claimed to to be supported by Pakistan) took over in 1996. So who was responsible for the civil war between these two points of time? Certainly not Pakistan. It was the afghans themselves, including people like General Rasheed Dostam, Gulbadeen Hikmatyar, Ahmad Shah Masood. It was the worst time for Afghaniees as there was no peace there. Then one needs to look at how Taliban emerged. For this one needs to watch a documentary "Inside Taliban". Alot has been said about Talibans BAD but one needs to be fair in his analysis. Right, they force women to remain uneducated but have you heard of any rape case during their time? Correct that they were brutal but this four year of their regime was the peaceful era in the last five decades. People left their shops open but nobody dared to steel as the punishment was severe; so the rule of law prevailed and justice was done on spot. General public were disarmed. Their harsh nature was the results of decades of war and given the prevailing situation of Afghanistan they may be right in their behavior. they should have been given some time to change their behavior but it was not the case. How pity is that that people from those countries (including US, India and even the so called liberals of Pakistan) criticize Afghan Taliban regime, where rape cases are frequent and in fact among the highest in the world, where access to justice is denied, where peace is a dream, and who discriminate in providing rights to every religion and every country.
pakistan is the child of afghanistan and india.now it has become a spoilt kid.
Maulana, Yup close the border, but not where you would want it to. The one you are referring to is durand line, NOT border :)
@Mubashir: “Islam first, Pakistan and Afghanistan later.”
I fully agree with you! Every Person in Pakistan is a Muslim first & Pakistani Next. Ask any person in the street from Quetta to Islamabad to Karachi.
@Brasstacks: Well, I do have the list of brain drain. Pakistanis were not refugees. Afghanis were refugees. Pakistanis were either economic migrants or political migrants.
Saying "Death" is not courteous for a country who has backed it for long.
Now understood who killed Rabbani, double(x) game of American in action, now it is an art of war against old friend with help of new friend(India),before departing, Afghanis will charged against Pakistan. After Americans the fate of Indians will be the same Afghanistan
Sparks of Afghan nationalism and Pakistani nationalism are being fanned and tried to be flared up. On both sides of the line, dividing Muslim territories into Pakistan and Afghanistan, puppets are working hard to bolster nationalism and weaken the common bond of Islam. In these trying times, be cautious and protect your selves from being used as an instrument of division. Pak-Afghan unity is of utmost need and in the best interest of Muslims and the Islam.
Repatriate the 3 million or so Afghans who have been burdening in our economy for the last three decades. Enough is enough! How have these refugees contributed to this country save for spreading violence, drugs and disease?
Look at the irony of history. Pakistan was a committed US ally in the war against Soviet Russia. Without Pakistan’s support, Mujahideen could not drive Russian forces leading to disintegration of Soviet Union, a goal the US wanted to achieve at all costs. Pakistan has always remained on the right side of the US during the cold war and paid dearly for that. With the changing scenario, it now finds itself in the woods after having earned American fury despite fighting US “war on terror” for 10 years. The loss of human lives alone of Pakistanis, branded as collateral damage, is 4000 military men and 35000 civilians. Such are the ways of international politics. India, despite having remained aloof, and largely unhurt, in the war or terror, is now preparing to take the reins of power after the endgame in Afghanistan. Read more at: http://pksecurity.blogspot.com/2011/10/anti-us-allies-of-cold-war-what-is.html
@Mubashir: "Islam first, Pakistan and Afghanistan later."
No I strongly disagree. Pakistan first. All the rest later. Show me a single Muslim country where any one believes in ISLAM FIRST. We are sole Thekedars of ISLAM on the planet.
@amjid: Good recommendations. Close the border with the mother of all evils and Pakistan is safe. We have suffered because of them. Our policy maker call it strategic depth and I call them a strategic threat. We have lost our identity in the world because of Afghanistan. Name any bad thing whether terror or drugs or weaponry, they are their (afghnis) precious gift to Pakistan. For heaven sake close this border and leave to the mercy of Iran and Cental Asia. My Afghan friends are going to die for Pakistan. I bet.
People, dont get too emotional and think rationally. Due to afghanistan's strategic location to pakistan, "we need afghanistan more than they need pakistan". calm down, think!
PAkistan need to stop interferring in Afghan affairs. As a first step, send all the refugees still in camps near Pak-Afghan border home. Let Afghan and UN take care of them. They are a drain on our resources.
has any one noticed that how come a Pakistani bomber was invited by Rabbani to meet him in his house which is in the most highly guarded and restricted area..how come he was able to take the bomb inside with him without getting checked by afghan security officials...it is a kind of fashion these days to put all the blames on ISI and pakistan..so Afgahnistan wants to do that fashion also..they are just extending Pakistani believe that they are acting as a american and indian proxy towards pakistan..
@Someone: mcuh much more than what China paid you for the flood relief !!
@Faisal:
You are defeated also many times by the then Indian Kings (Now a days Pakistan).
In fact you are defeated and ruled for many years by Sikh and Hindu Kings.
Many of the Afghan kings are looters but not Winners of the then India.
If Pakistan is not there, then you will be the Slave of India. Choose friendship of Pakistan or Go, live happily as Slave of India as like historical days.
Establishment's policy of seizing southern and eastern Afghanistan via Haqqani/Taliban is major success.
@Maryam: WHo told you maryam that in 70s Pakistan wants to make afghanistan as its 5th province?have you any justification or just simply quoting western media???
Pakistan's role in Afganistan is in one word, shameful. It will hurt Afghan-Pak relations for years.
In case you are wondering how biased is media check the angle the picture was taken. Tens of people showed as hundred.
All protestors are paid by NATO, America and India, no one can simply accept these actors as representatives of Afghan people.
Pakistan is nurturing 2.5 million afghans since 1980s in its boundaries and almost whole afghanistan through supply routes.
It is all part of the plan. Zbiginew Brezinski plan of stopping the neo-cons from attacking Iran and use Iran against Russia. For Pakistan his plan is to use Afghanis against Pakistan. Why not throw out America and concentrate on fixing our economy.
This is called rent a crowd :)
Hundred's by the way really?? because I don't think so..=)
HAHA its PRICELESS!!!
LOOk wHO's Talking..
Pakistan should stop treating Afghanistan like backyard. Its shame when Pakistan urdu media anchors and politician talk about sovereignty. No country other than Pakistan is more responsible for civil wars in Afghanistan….where is their sovereignty.
American left Afghanistan in 1988 but it was Pakistan who continue to influence it by their Jihadi alliance. Once west learnt the Hardaway, its Pakistan who didn’t want to change its foreign policy…shame
@Adeel 759 Well you do have a point. But let´s not forget the fact that the overall negative impact of having milions of refugees for decades far outweighs any peanuts that a host country receives from the UN. It is for the simple reason that even the most developed countries try their best to stop the entry of any refugee ships carrying a few hundred immigrants. The process of integretaing/hosting any refugees takes a toll on a society, especially on a long term basis.
First Afghanistan should take all Afghani refugees back from Pakistan. If Pakistan is that bad what millions of Afghanis are doing in Pakistan , a bad, villain country? If Afghanistan cannot take them, may be they should be shipped to India, their new love. Are you ready to accept them, Indians?
:->
@Someone: Keep dreaming Sir. Its good for your mental health.
Pakistan should not forget that Afghans have ruled on Pakistan for hundreds of years, Pakistan should never mess with Afghans:))
@Mubashir:sorry mankind first
just the other day, pakistanis are beating this forum calling afghans are true brothers, and indians should stay away...so what happened to the love affair ? give me a break folks !!
Three decades of war has led afghans to this point.but Islamic republic of Pakistan is in no way responsible for this. When the war was imposed on Afghanistan we opened our doors,we shared our bread, homes and motherland with them,so that they can have a safe refuge.it is not only afghans who have paid for the war, Pakistan has also paid a very heavy price for the instability in Afghanistan.obviously we can not accept that some people from Afghanistan cross the border and kill innocent civilians in Pakistan and destroy their homes,we are left with no choice but to bomb them back.if karzai wants peace he should start from Afghanistan by getting rid of these safe heaven of terrorists and their outlaws.
Another espionage at work . . . .working hard playing with the brains of these already shell shocked Afghans. Brain washed and paid too. . . . . Also, it all started with Karzai impulsively accusing Pakistan . . . .the trick worked . . . . The games politicians play with the innocent brains and lives of their people with no regard to their sufferings. Humanity gone!! Shame on the opportunist and exploiters!!
We the Pakistanis fully support any peaceful settlement in Afghanistan. Afghanis are our brothers and sisters. We are always with them in thick & thin. Pakistan has proved that we love Afghani brothers & sisters by providing them refuge in late 70s. we provided them sheltar and shared our food with them. We do not want to poke our nose into Afghanistan's personal affairs. We condemn the brutal killing of President Rabbani who was a great friend of Pakistan. PM Yousaf Raza Gillani personally went to Kabul for condolence.
There are some anti Pakistani people in Kabul who do not leave any chance of accusing pakistan for their own created problems. They play in the hands of anti Pakistan countries like India. Afghan government should realise that if their soil will be used to attack Pakistan then Pakistan will respond with full force to defend our land. We want peace in our region but not at the cost of our sovereignity. We cannot change our neighbours, so Afghanistan and Pakistan shold live like good neighbours & brothers. All the concerned issues between two great nations should be resolved face to face.
KRAYA KA PROTESTER FROM SHAMALI ITHAD WHAT credibility a Protest in heavy police and army protection. Kuner and Nuristan is not in control of so called Afghan army and NATO run away from these area. first make control on these are then say something to Pakistan. And correct you this is Pakistan who fight always in Afghanistan with foreign Troops and you afghan always run away we gather you we trained You otherwise you people are very happy in slavery.
UN pays pakistanis for every refugee hosted, on annual basis. But, I am sure none of you know this. Pakistan makes money on this, just like pakistan its one of largest contributor to UN Peace keeping mission, its not because pakistan wants to save humanity but because they get huge salaries. Its shameful to exploiter the missries of war torn migrants.
@Naveeda Shaikh: Just look at the number of Pakistanis migrated to the USA & other European countries over the years with others in the line but ALL of Pakistanis appear to be totally anti USA. what a paradox ?
This is getting funnier by the day. I would love to see Shuja Pasha's face now.
Interesting reaction from Pakistan - on expected lines I suppose. Reaction in India is similar when Bangladesh has negative news on India. Tale of two countries... general people are more similar than different. Appreciated that more after moving out of India.
We Pakistanis shouldn't be too much worried about few hundred Tajik Afghans chanting against us for so called peace negotiator Mr. Rabbani. Everybody knows how brutally he killed his own countrymen. His rockets destroyed Kabul more than anybody else in decades long Afghan wars. And just in case they want to go a bit more crazy, all we need is to close Torkham and Speen Boldak routes for a week.
It is yet another blow to Pakistan's diplomacy in Afghanistan. Afghanis are averse to Pakistan's interference for many decades and they donot want Taleban or Haqqanis to rule them again. Majority of them are pro-India and want this country to help their cause. However, India would not be contemplating any military venture in Afghanistan until circumstances force it to take this extra-ordinary step.
@Diggvijay Singh: When will Indians learn to stop oppressing innocent minorities and give the right of self-determination to Kashmiris? Freedom for Kashmir.
@Naveeda Shaikh: and do you think pakistan was keeping the refugees in their state for free, making billion from US and UN thats what pakis benifited from the afghan refugees. nothing is for free even not for its own millions of people who are dying of misery and floods.
Its true Pakistan has pumped in food and aid into Afghanistan. But this was not out of love for fellow muslims. It was born out of the need to "control" afghans and ensure they don't become capable enough to make their own destiny. Afghanistan future cannot be hijacked by aid. (The british learnt it 200 years back).
Afghanistan can live without aid. Dont use it as an excuse to control them
It is in the interest of Muslims of Pakistan and Afghanistan that brotherly ties should strengthen. This can happen only when we give priority to common Islamic interest than to different national interests.
@Karachi-Wala: Politics is subset of religion; these are bound to each other. Muslims should do what is best for Muslims. Doing so will automatically heel national interests.
i still could not understand why we helped Afghanistan. They are posing more threats to us than India.
@Yousaf: and do you think your doing us a favor by selling wheat wake up bro your country needs Afghanistan trade thats what you have been profiting from, Kazakhstan can feed Afghanistan for years and not only those ex-soviet states but other countries too. so you people are doing ur selves favor for selling wheat to us.
To all pakistanis , don't get too worried by this drama demonstration. The CIA can easily arrange a rally of a 1000 people & this is only a peanut of 100 considering that CIA is there for over a decade. Don't be fooled by these imposter afgans & help Afgans who are suffering from genocide by NATO. Don't punish the innocent afgans just because of a few imposters.
Does this not sound pathetically planned? Look at the Afghan refugees numbers who have entered Pakistan since 1990s. Pakistan has, surely, spent a pass of time on them. I think they need to rethink on their instances again. If Pakistan were not there, they (Afghan refugees) would die under the bombing of US forces.
Afghanistan and Pakistan are limbs of the same body. Muslims in Afghanistan and Pakistan are brothers; it is the ploy of west to incite nationalistic feelings and pave way for Muslims to fight each other. Nationalism is evil, identify it, crush it and curb it. We are primarily Muslims; our identity is Islam, not Pakistan or Afghanistan. Pakistani national interests or Afghani national interests are secondary and inferior in comparison to the Islamic interests. We must rise above our nationalistic sentiments and think and act for the betterment of Muslims in the entire region.
Regards
We played a nasty role in the Afghan civil war of the 90s; Afghans hate us for that
Islam first, Pakistan and Afghanistan later. It is of paramount importance that west should get out of this region and it is possible only when we display unity among ourselves. For the sake of Allah leave Pakistaniyat, leave Afganiyat and think, act and behave as Muslims.
From Kashmir
at behest of U.S , to what extent shall we go... we lost kashmir, strategic upperhand on eastern front , n now we lose our strategic depth to strategic death in afghanistan.....
no doubt U.S was behind death of rabbani........ bt our fault is we sided with U.S when they waged a war on muslims, we are partners in killing of Muslims of Afghanistan n now we reap the fruits !!

Looks to me another HUM SAB UMEED SE HAIN - Kabul episode.
Dont forget Pakistan is still home to a million Afghan Refugee's.Dont forget most of their trade runs through Pakistan,Dont forget the same Pakistan and ISI helped you to get rid of USSR.And last but not the least dont forget that the people like Karzai,Abdullah Obdullah,Younis Qanooni will leave Kabul when their masters USA will leave .Its we the Pakistani and You Afghans who will have to live together. So dont play in the hands of opressors
The concerns of the Afghani people are genuine as since late 70s Pakistan is trying to make Afghanistan as a fifth province by helping the proxies. Though a Pakistani, I am with the afghan people on this.
@punjabi: You should be worried about Kashmir. 99% of your country lives in denial mode about what ur security forces are doing there and go around in the false hope that all will get well. Change your society too, because sooner or later you are going to lose your precious Kashmir
"Our Muslim brother country"Afghanistan is protesting against us "Death to Pakistan", "Death to ISI ". They are addressing us as,"Pakistan is another enemy to fight with". what shall we do now? forgive our "Muslim brother country"?
wow pakis are all up in arms coz some afghanis have finally vented their justified anger towards pakistan, the hypocrisy of all this is that pakistanis who are used to burning other countries flags and chanting slogan like death to america and death to india are angry.im sure some pakis are so in denial that they'll call this cia and nato conspiracy ,infact some already have.wow.
So where are these protestors when NATO bombs innocent people?
@Khaliq: is whatever u said about changing society relevant to pakistan a swell?
This is concept of Ummah which our Molvies gave us everyday.....? Just stop the wheat being smuggled or sold to Afghanistan and see the difference.
We must focus on our own interests, forget the rest.
Cut the supply line to afghanistan and then these stupid afghanis will come to know that Pakistan means to them .....ehsan faramosh
i'll sound kinda rude but its about time me throw all these afghans outta PAK into afghan
We Afghans should sincerely apologise to Pakistan for biting the hand that feeds us. If Pakistan closes supplies to us, we all know our country will be finished in two weeks (God forbid).
NATO collateral damage is acceptable but Pakistan chasing Afghan terrorists is not acceptable. Double standards, anyone?
What do you expect when you have NATO sitting in Kabul? A question to ponder
The Afghans are essentially biting the hand that feeds them. Lets cut all NATO routes, other shipments that go through Afghanistan (through the coastal routes of Pak) and deport all illegal Afghani immigrants.
When are these Afghanis going to realise that having "Quetta" in the name will never change the fact that the Quetta Shura is an Afghan organisation made up of Afghan nationals? Moral: Change your society first before chanting death to other countries
Wondering how much NATO/Afghan government payed these poor little unemployed youth
I think enough is enough. We must close our boarder, then they would realize that it is Pakistan who is feeding to Afghanistan. All type of food and other daily life goods are exported by Pakistan. Hundred of thousands of afghans are living in Pakistan, using Green passport and involved in drugs, putting black spot on the reputation of my beloved country.
It is pretty sad that they are raising such extremist slogans. When will the Muslim world learn to set aside their differences and put up a joint opposition to imperialism? Who told these Afghan protesters that the Pakistani agencies masterminded Rabbani's assassination? How can they be so cocksure and arrogant? Some covertly CIA-leaning Afghan intelligence personnel like Amarullah Saleh have brainwashed these Kabul citizens into believing the impossible.
Oh please...where the hell are all these sitting ducks when NATO commits "collateral damage"
