Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has urged the prime minister to do something about recent power shortages, saying “extraordinary load-shedding” in the province and particularly Lahore was hampering the fight against dengue. “I strongly protest at this injustice being meted to the Punjab with regard to load-shedding and demand that the prime minister immediately take notice of it,” he told reporters at Thokar Niaz Beg on Saturday. “We have imported machinery and medicines,” he said. “Doctors, nurses and other staff are providing medical facilities to dengue patients around the clock.”
