CHAKWAL: Former law minister Senator Babar Awan on Saturday said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and its allies will emerge victorious across the country, including Punjab, in the next general elections.  Addressing a press conference here, he said PPP had defeated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Gujranwala and Multan, as he added that in the next general elections it will ‘clean sweep’ Punjab on the basis of its pro-people policies. He however expressed regret over the notion that funds worth Rs260 million, allocated for dengue treatment and fumigation, were allegedly being misused. He said the seriousness of Punjab government could be judged by the fact that there was no health minister in the province.
