Chief Executive Officer Shifa International Hospital (SIH) President Dr Zaheer Ahmad suffered a brain haemorrhage on Wednesday night and his condition is stated to be critical. Talking to The Express Tribune, SIH Spokesman Azmatullah Qureshi said Dr Ahmed was admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) after suffering a brain haemorrhage on Wednesday night. The 63-year-old has four children, all of whom reached Islamabad on Thursday night. Doctors are making all out efforts to save his life. On Friday special prayers for his quick and healthy recovery was held at the hospital. According to sources, Dr Ahmed was attending an event at a local hotel when he suffered a brain haemorrhage and was immediately taken to the hospital. Dr Ahmed is also chairman of the Tameer-e-Millat Foundation, an NGO working in the education sector.
