Dubiously omitted: Names of seven doctors missing from official list
“Coincidentally, these are the same people who have been getting their salaries for the last eight months,” official.

Names of seven doctors were “suspiciously” omitted from the contracted employees of Cardiac Center of Pakistan Institution of Medical Sciences (Pims) list sent to the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD). The list that was compiled by the top administration of the hospital has been for the regularisation of these doctors.
Earlier, a letter issued from the Prime Minister Secretariat on August 19 this year asked for the names of all the contracted employees of the cardiac surgery project of the hospital. These included all the doctors, nurses and paramedics.
“Coincidentally, these are the same people who have been getting their salaries for the last eight months,” said an official. “They were hired in September-November last year, through proper procedure by the Ministry of Health,” he added. Since their hiring, they have only received their salaries only once.
The doctors even took their case to the court of law and have protested over the matter.
Talking to The Express Tribune, President of Peoples Doctors’ Forum Pims Dr Naveed Sheikh on the behalf of all these seven doctors condemned the injustice done by the top administration of the hospital.
“These doctors are already having tough time due to not getting salary for so long and now this injustice must have demoralised them,” he said.
He said all the staff of the project-based departments in the hospitals had already been regularised. “This is only happening in Pims which is the largest hospital of the capital and has the largest cardiac surgery department,” he added.
When contacted, Professor Mehmood Jamal from Pims denied the report and said the names of all the staff was sent to the CADD long ago.
