KATSEYE apologise to fans after postponing Detroit concert at last minute
The announcement came as concertgoers were already inside Little Caesars Arena, with others still making their way

KATSEYE have apologised to fans after postponing their Detroit concert shortly before they were due to take the stage, revealing that member Megan Skiendiel had fallen ill and was unable to perform.
The group's November 3 show at Little Caesars Arena was called off around 30 minutes before its scheduled start time, leaving fans who had already arrived at the venue disappointed.
In a statement shared on Instagram Stories, KATSEYE explained that Megan was unwell and needed time to recover.
“We're so sorry to share that tonight's show at Little Caesars Arena has been postponed due to illness,” the group wrote. “Unfortunately, Megan is unwell and unable to perform tonight, and we want to make sure she has the time she needs to rest and recover.”
The members also acknowledged that many fans had travelled to Detroit and made arrangements to attend the concert.
“We know so many of you have travelled, made plans, and been looking forward to tonight,” they continued. “We are incredibly disappointed that we won't get to see you, and we're truly sorry for the inconvenience.”
The group concluded by thanking supporters for their patience and understanding, adding that they loved their fans and looked forward to seeing them soon.
The announcement came as concertgoers were already inside Little Caesars Arena, with others still making their way to the venue. Videos shared on social media showed the postponement announcement displayed on the arena's screens.
The venue also issued an apology, asking ticket holders to keep their existing tickets, which will be valid for the rescheduled date once it is announced. Fans are expected to receive further information by email.
The last-minute decision prompted mixed reactions online. While some fans expressed frustration over the disruption and the money spent on travel and accommodation, others defended the group, pointing out that performers should be given time to recover when they are unwell.
The Detroit concert was part of KATSEYE's Wildworld Tour, which began in September and includes the group's first arena performances. The North American leg is scheduled to continue through November 28, with Mexico City marking the final stop of the run.
KATSEYE are currently performing with four members, as Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman are both on hiatus. Sophia is expected to return in January 2027, while no confirmed return date has been announced for Manon.
