ISLAMABAD:

The National Assembly Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis has called for the "true implementation" of revised minimum wage to be paid as soon as it is announced, across all bodies under the ministry.

The committee expressed reservations over the replies regarding minimum wage payments and recommended that all boards and organisations under the ministry establish rules or mechanisms to ensure that the revised minimum wage is paid as soon as it is increased by the federal government. The body recommended that all provinces and G-B increase grants to workers affected by any incident to Rs3 million.
