ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has successfully issued 302,587 registrations out of 304,819 applications received across various categories, clearing more than 99% of the total applications up to October 2026 through improvements to its registration system and administrative procedures.

Under the leadership and direction of its president Prof. Dr Rizwan Taj, the council has taken proactive measures to strengthen its registration mechanism, ensuring faster processing, prompt disposal of cases and more efficient handling of applications submitted by doctors and dental professionals.

Through improved workflow management, proactive monitoring and greater attention to pending cases, the council has worked to ensure that applications are processed efficiently and applicants receive timely responses.

A key achievement of these measures has been the facilitation of doctors without requiring unnecessary visits to the PMDC office.

By improving the handling of registration-related matters through its online portal and better administrative coordination, the council has enabled medical and dental professionals to complete their cases remotely, saving valuable time, reducing travel expenses and minimising inconvenience.

This has been particularly beneficial for doctors serving in hospitals, remote areas and other demanding professional settings.

The latest figures demonstrate the council's efforts to address the growing demand for registration and verification services through its digital registration portal.

With the continuous upgrading of its registration system and proactive monitoring, the PMDC has focused on improving registration operations through closer oversight of application volumes, processing status, objections and pending cases.
