Zendaya has paid tribute to Halle Berry’s iconic fashion moment from 2000, recreating the actress’s vintage Lanvin outfit for Halloween with the help of her longtime stylist Law Roach.
Roach shared photographs of the Dune star’s Halloween look on Instagram on October 31, showing Zendaya wearing the same yellow, brown and white printed string bikini top and matching low-rise trousers Berry wore to the New York premiere of X-Men in July 2000.
The archival Lanvin ensemble featured a geometric print, a triangle bikini top with delicate straps and wide-leg trousers. Zendaya completed the look with pointed-toe heels and tinted sunglasses, closely matching Berry’s original styling.
Berry had accessorised the outfit with a belly chain and yellow-tinted sunglasses, while Zendaya added her own touches to the vintage recreation.
The Halloween tribute follows Zendaya’s recent transformation, which saw her debut a short pixie haircut at the 2026 Emmy Awards in September. The hairstyle drew comparisons to Berry’s signature cropped looks, with Roach confirming that the actress had been inspired by the X-Men star.
Berry also acknowledged the tribute, sharing Roach’s interview on her Instagram Story and praising Zendaya’s appearance.
The two actresses have previously been connected through fashion, with Zendaya paying tribute to other iconic stars over the years. In 2024, she wore a vintage Bob Mackie design inspired by Cher at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Zendaya’s Halloween look also comes as she begins the promotional tour for Dune: Part Three, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas in December 2026.
