Netflix has renewed its animated comedy series Haunted Hotel for a third season, with the upcoming instalment scheduled to premiere in 2027.

The streaming platform announced the renewal ahead of Halloween, following strong viewership for the supernatural series. According to Netflix, the show's second season debuted on the Global English TV Top 10 list, while its first season has accumulated more than 15 million views since its release in September 2025.

Created by Matt Roller, known for his work on Rick and Morty, Haunted Hotel follows a single mother attempting to manage the world's most haunted hotel. She runs the establishment alongside her ghost brother, two children and a demon trapped inside a young boy's body, while dealing with an expanding collection of ghosts, monsters and supernatural incidents.

The animated series features the voices of Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides and Jimmi Simpson.

Roller expressed his excitement about the renewal, promising viewers another season filled with supernatural adventures and comedy.

“I’m so excited to invite viewers back to the Undervale!” he said, adding that season three would feature the biggest, funniest, scariest and saddest stories the series has delivered so far.

Roller also serves as an executive producer alongside Chris McKenna, Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon and Steve Levy. Erica Hayes, who has also worked on Rick and Morty, serves as supervising director.

Animation studio Titmouse is producing the series, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina also serving as executive producers.

Netflix has not yet announced an exact release date for Haunted Hotel season three. The new season is expected to arrive sometime in 2027.
