RAWALPINDI:

Tenants in the RA Bazaar police jurisdiction allegedly extorted gold jewellery and millions in cash from their landlord's daughter through extortion and threats of black magic, police said on Thursday. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

According to the police, the complainant, Sardar Hussain, reported that he had rented out the upper portion of his house to a man named Nazir in January 2026, where Nazir resided with his son, Ali Shan, and daughter-in-law, Iram.

Hussain stated that Ali Shan and his wife invited his daughter, Aaliya Rubab, to their portion and told her they had found a spiritual healer (pir) who could resolve all her family's problems, provided she paid a fee.
