Released in July, Alfaaz brought Malik and Zohaib together on a romantic track whose emotive sound has resonated with listeners. Its continued streaming growth has helped the collaboration reach audiences beyond Pakistan.
The song’s reported chart performance has further fuelled its momentum. An Instagram story shared by Zohaib’s official music account reported that Alfaaz had reached No 1 on Spotify’s charts in both India and Pakistan, as well as No 39 on Spotify’s global chart.
The reported rankings mark a notable achievement for a Pakistani collaboration gaining traction in India, one of the region’s largest music markets.
The song’s reach also illustrates how streaming platforms can help music travel across national borders and connect artists with listeners in different markets.
Alfaaz has also gained recognition on Genius.
A screenshot shared by the singers on Instagram showed the track at No 5 on the platform’s Top 10 Songs of the Week chart, alongside songs by international artists including Tate McRae, Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, ADÉLA and Mariah Deborah.
