'Sunrise on the Reaping' stars Elle Fanning and McKenna Grace wear hunger games-inspired gowns at fan event
Fanning channelled Effie Trinket while Grace arrived in an arena-inspired gown at the fan screening event in London

Elle Fanning and McKenna Grace brought the world of The Hunger Games to the red carpet with distinctive, film-inspired gowns at the UK fan screening of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping in London on October 28, 2026.
Fanning, who plays a younger version of Effie Trinket, embraced the character’s extravagant Capitol aesthetic in a pink couture gown by Robert Wun from his autumn 2026 collection.
The dramatic design reportedly featured more than 390 feet of layered tulle and nearly 200 feet of silk organza.
The gown’s voluminous ballerina-style skirt and sculptural bodice were complemented by a pastel headpiece featuring a miniature dancing ballerina, evoking the whimsical fashion associated with Effie, originally portrayed by Elizabeth Banks in the film franchise.
Grace, who portrays District 12 tribute Maysilee Donner, offered a different interpretation of the film’s visual world.
Her gown by Almée drew inspiration from the arena featured in Sunrise on the Reaping.
The design incorporated a swirling sky, purple mountains, grassy landscapes and purple flowers along the skirt, transforming the fictional setting into a wearable fashion statement.
Both actresses have embraced method dressing throughout the film’s promotional campaign, using their red-carpet appearances to reference the franchise’s characters, costumes and settings.
Grace has also paid tribute to earlier films, including references to Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping explores the events surrounding the 50th Hunger Games and is scheduled for theatrical release on November 20, 2026.
