Jennifer Lawrence reveals cosmetic breast surgery as she embraces motherhood and wanting to be a ‘sexy mom’
The actress previously discussed cosmetic procedures after welcoming her second child in early 2025

Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed that she underwent cosmetic breast surgery, opening up about her appearance, motherhood and future beauty plans in a candid interview with The Cut.
The Oscar-winning actress discussed the procedure in a profile published on October 27, 2026. Lawrence, who shares two sons with her husband, Cooke Maroney, said she wants to feel confident in her appearance while managing the demands of raising young children.
“I want to be a sexy mom,” Lawrence told. She explained that she wants to look put together during school drop-offs, even when she has had little time to get ready.
The Hunger Games star had previously spoken about considering breast surgery in an October 2025 profile in The New Yorker. At the time, she had recently welcomed her second child and said she was open to cosmetic procedures, including a possible facelift.
Lawrence has continued to discuss beauty treatments publicly. In a Vogue interview published in September 2026, she spoke about the cosmetic work she has tried and the procedures she might consider in the future.
She said she uses small amounts of Botox but cannot have too much because she wants to retain movement in her face. She has also expressed interest in buccal fat removal, a procedure that reduces fat in the cheeks to make facial contours more prominent, although she acknowledged that the results would be noticeable.
The actress has also discussed her reservations about certain treatments, including fat transfers, while making clear that her personal choices do not determine what others should do.
Lawrence and Maroney have two children: their eldest son, Cy, and a second son born in early 2025. The actress has spoken openly about the changes that come with motherhood and her evolving approach to appearance.
