PML-N's Rafique seeks end to political confrontation
.

PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has questioned whether the establishment, the government or the opposition is winning amid the country's political confrontation.
He said no one is emerging victorious as injustice, poverty, lawlessness, and extremism continue to grow.
In a statement on social media platform X on Monday, Rafique warned that those responsible for confronting these challenges were instead locked in conflict with one another, leaving the nation without a clear path out of its difficulties.
He urged political and state stakeholders to learn from past mistakes, abandon personal and group interests, and work together to prevent the country from sliding further into instability.
"Who is winning? The establishment, the government or the opposition? None," he wrote, adding that injustice, poverty, lawlessness, disorder, revenge, prejudice, authoritarian attitudes and extremism were the real forces gaining ground.
Rafique questioned who would fight these afflictions and emerge victorious, asking who would deliver the nation from its predicament, when this would happen and how.
He said those expending their energy and resources on internal disputes for the sake of their egos and personal or group interests could not present themselves as the nation's saviours.
The former minister said Pakistan had spent eight decades witnessing an ugly contest to concentrate power and bring opponents down at any cost.
