Business rules being curtailed

LAHORE:

Adviser to Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan, while addressing a conference at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that reducing unnecessary rules and regulations, multiple approval requirements, repeated inspections and government procedures was essential for economic stability and the promotion of industry and trade.

He said the government was working on 581 regulatory reform initiatives, while proposals were being considered to consolidate federal, provincial and local laws in a centralised system.
