Dhabeji in the dark as power outage drags into second day
Repeated repair attempts fail to restore supply; water crisis grips several neighbourhoods

A technical fault in K-Electric's power network has left Dhabeji without electricity for nearly two days, disrupting businesses, triggering a water shortage and causing severe hardship for residents, as repeated attempts to restore the supply have failed.
The outage began on Friday evening, when a technical fault disrupted electricity across the area. K-Electric teams have been working to repair the fault, but despite claiming to have fixed it more than three times, the supply has repeatedly broken down within minutes of being restored.
The prolonged outage has severely affected commercial activity in Gharibabad Market, Bilal Nagar, Sheikh Abdul Majeed Colony and other neighbourhoods, leaving traders and residents struggling to cope with the disruption.
The lack of electricity has also triggered a water crisis, adding to the difficulties faced by residents already grappling with the prolonged breakdown.
K-Electric officials said repair work was under way and expressed hope that power would be restored across the area by Sunday night.
