Saxon did not disclose Durham’s cause of death or provide details about the circumstances surrounding his passing. His family has also not publicly shared further information, leaving the cause of death unknown.

Durham was married to Lauretta and had a daughter, Gemma, as well as grandchildren. However, details about his family life, including his marriage and the number of grandchildren, have largely remained private.

The musician’s best-known work included his time with Saxon between 1987 and 1988, during which he contributed to Destiny.

Although his tenure with the band was relatively brief, the album remains a notable part of his musical career.

Following his departure from Saxon, Durham continued performing with Oliver/Dawson Saxon, a group formed by former Saxon members Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson.

His recording credits with the band included Re and It’s Alive. In 2013, he joined Morpheus Rising as its full-time drummer.

\Durham’s net worth has not been publicly established. His recording credits and years as a performing musician offer insight into his professional history, but there is insufficient verified financial information to estimate his wealth reliably.

Durham’s death follows a false report in April 2026 that had incorrectly claimed he had died.
