Pakistan release Sufyan Moqim
Maaz Sadaqat joins squad as injury cover ahead of matches in Lahore

Pakistan have released left-arm wrist-spinner Sufyan Moqim from their squad, with the nature of the pitches in Lahore influencing the decision, and have added left-handed batsman Maaz Sadaqat as cover for players carrying minor niggles.
Moqim will return to domestic cricket following his release from the national squad, while Sadaqat has been brought in as a precautionary measure to provide additional batting cover.
“Left-arm wrist spinner Sufyan Moqim has been released from the Pakistan Men’s squad, keeping in view the nature of Lahore pitches,” the PCB said on Sunday.
“He will return to play domestic cricket. Left-handed batter Maaz Sadaqat has been added to the squad as cover for players carrying minor niggles,” the Board said.
Pakistan are due to face England today in their third show of the ODI tri-series where spinners don’t have much to offer due to nature of the pitches.
Pakistan have won both their previous matches and if they beat England today they will qualify for the final.
Maaz had a superb T20I series against Sri Lanka recently which hosts won 2-1 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
