.

Allegations of manipulation in the Class XII examination results of Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad have triggered an official inquiry, with the Sindh government suspending a senior board official and forming a three-member committee to investigate suspected irregularities in the pre-medical and pre-engineering groups.
Deputy Controller of the BISE's Top Secret Branch, Ijaz Ali Kaka, was suspended on the orders of Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards Ismail Rahoo after allegations circulated on social media, prompting the government to order a review of the 2026 annual examination results.
The inquiry committee, headed by Sindh University of Business Administration and Economics (SIBA) Jamshoro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Arbeela Bhutto, has been directed to submit its findings to the provincial minister within 30 days.
According to notifications issued by the Universities and Boards Department, the inquiry aims to establish the facts, determine responsibility and identify any officials or employees who may have been involved in the alleged irregularities. The suspension will remain in effect until completion of the inquiry and further orders from the competent authority.
The committee also includes Additional Secretary of the Universities and Boards Department Amir Fazal Owaisi and Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro Registrar Dr Nasrullah Pirzada.
The committee will examine the Class XII annual examination results for 2026, with particular attention to position holders, candidates among the top 10, and students securing A-1 and A grades in the pre-medical and pre-engineering groups.
