Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Adviser on Information and Public Relations Samar Haroon Bilour held a Public Day at Lahori Gate, where she met a large number of citizens and listened to their concerns and complaints regarding civic issues.
During the event, citizens congratulated Samar Haroon Bilour on her position and presented her with bouquets of flowers. The initiative provided an opportunity for residents to directly communicate their problems and draw the government's attention to issues affecting their daily lives.
The occasion highlighted the need to improve sanitation, strengthen the drainage system, control environmental pollution and restore Peshawar's traditional beauty.
Historically known as the City of Flowers, Peshawar is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks and distinctive traditional charm. Preserving this identity requires coordinated planning and effective measures by the relevant departments.
Timely waste collection from streets, markets and public places, regular cleaning of drains, improved drainage infrastructure and efficient rainwater disposal were identified as essential measures to address urban challenges.
Promoting plantation, protecting green spaces and reducing air pollution are equally important for creating a cleaner, greener and healthier city.
Under the leadership of the provincial governor, public welfare remains a priority, with coordinated efforts needed to address citizens' concerns and improve municipal services.
